San Diego Chargers coach is not having a good week

Yeah. I think he finishes the season, but the Chargers will have a new HC by start of season next year.

Aggressive incompetence demands that we start this NFL Coaches Dead pool even before the end of week 2.

Who among the pantheon of worthy coaches will get fired first?

Dominating performances by Matt Patricia and Dan Quinn are the envy of the league.

So far I have:

1. Matt Patricia Lions <------- MFer won't last the season
2. Dan Quinn Falcons Teach the players to pick up the damn ball
3. Adam Gase Jets
4. Doug Marrone Jaguars
5. Doug Pederson Eagles (What have you done for us lately?)

Agree? Disagree?

Discuss. What did I miss?

Pretty good

Lynn
Nagy
Bill O’Brien somehow missed your list

Nagy would have been fired if Bears did not make the playoffs, and he has a job as long as the Bears stay alive in the playoffs.

Pederson is next. His embarrassing give up during the Washington game was inexcusable.

Gase, Marrone, Lynn all pretty easy ones to see coming. Pederson needs to go, imo. Nagy would have been gone but the Bears managed to get into the playoffs so that will give him another season.

Another season, I don't think so.

I think that gets Nagy just as many games as the Bears play in the playoffs.
Maybe but I think he gets to next season. He may well be on the hot seat if the Bears don't come out strong though. Not much leeway for him at this point, imo.

Giving Nagy another season while he's on thin ice going into it is not a good formula for success.

But, I will not be surprised if/when the cheap ass Bears keep Nagy.

It would be a much easier transition to a new coach and staff if the change was made at the end of this Bears season.

yep, agree totally that should be the approach but it's duh, Bears and it's pretty much a moot point until that franchise gets a bonafide franchise QB that's worth a damn. They never seem to get QB right.

The Lions want to take away from the Saints for the next coach it appears

Detroit has its general manager for the foreseeable future, and now it is targeting its long-term head coach.
New Orleans Saints assistant head coach/tight ends coach Dan Campbell has emerged as the favorite to be the new Lions coach, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Friday, per sources.
No in-person interview can be conducted between the two sides until New Orleans' season has ended, so Campbell's potential hire is on hold officially until then.
