...and I don't think he'll give two shits.

Tweeting = caring. Perhaps he will resist and just let it go.

But I expect he will be presidential and congratulate the team. And he will also likely be Donnie and somehow make it back handed.

I didn't turn it on until the 10 minute mark. I knew it started at 11, but got distracted with something else.

Slurp slurp? lol

Lavelle's goal and play along with Sauerbrunn's was much for impactful than Rapinoe, yet she gets player of the match.. Don't agree with that at all! Still can't believe Lavalle is only 24

She had a goal too. Granted a PK she didn’t set up. But still a goal. And I believe she has the golden boot for the tournament.

It’s like a QB with an average stat line winning SB MVP when a defensive player has a better game. It’s more political than anything. Yeah....not surprised considering it’s FIFA.

Yes, she got the PK goal but other than that she really didn't do anything in THIS game.. Yes she got the Golden Boot for sure but those two were so much more impactuctful for this match than Rapinoe. I hear yea though on it pretty much being "rigged"

Rapinoe being the player of the match... I call utter BS on that one. She did absolutely NOTHING in this game except that PK goal. Sauerbrann and Lavelle did so much more

Wasn't that just for leading scorer of the tournament ?

She got that too but they gave her something for the match if I am not mistaken. But she got the golden boot for sure

And they handed the trophy off to the right first player to hold it. That will likely be it for the legend Carli Lloyd in the WC. Not that I would put it past her to be there in some role at 41 it’s not super likely.

What a great team!

Llyod and Rapinoe can't be back for 2023 right?

That would be very tough.. especially for Lloyd at 40. The physical demands seem similar to those of a PG in hoops. As the sayin goes, father time is undefeated.

Agreed. Hell...I think that whole backline proved to be underrated. The wings played strong most of the time....Naeher was way underrated. I really love her decisiveness.

Dahlkamper might be closest to accurately rated. She has lapses in close defense play....but her long advance passes are so solid. She was the yin to Sauerbrunns yang.

Also a shout out to Krieger. After being off the team and not playing much I worried about her coming in for O’Hara. She was sensational.

I have to be honest, I knew nothing about Dahlkamper until this tournament. She really impressed me. We knew what Ertz could bring and she brought it for sure. Sauerbrunn showing her toughness and willingness to throw her body around to get the job done and she did. Yes, much respect to Krieger, she's played what like 10 minutes this entire tournament and for her to have to come in and play in such a pivotal role as O'Hara had to have a concusion.. Which I thought for sure Sauerbrunn had as well (got to give her props for coming right back and not shying away from anything).

Naeher's "save" when she came flying out of her net to knock the ball away was huge and I think a huge wake up call for the US and gave this team the spark they needed to win!
