funny..who knew the greatest selling soccer jersey of all-time would be the US woman's soccer jersey.

nike knows this and will re-adjust their marketing needs here forth….

Yeah they were flooding it with all the reports around here that they were the highest selling so I thought for SURE I'd be seeing an email and I was expecting it and probably would have bought one

C'mon now folks. This Team has one more crack at greatness next summer at the Olympics. Gold baby! And none of those pesky French to worry about.

Man, that Rapinoe is a nasty little bitch. Spitting all over the place like a baseball player. So gross.

I must have missed the Nike commercial when it ran. Caught up with it and I liked it. Again....maybe it’s the dad of two strong daughters, that will change ones view.

It’s just a damn shame that basic equal rights needs to be a political thing. I thought it was a very nice message.

Tweeting = caring. Perhaps he will resist and just let it go.

But I expect he will be presidential and congratulate the team. And he will also likely be Donnie and somehow make it back handed.

Well, I need to own it here (at least until they turn down the WH visit invite and go to Congress) the presidents tweet was very....presidential. Nice to see that!

Hey....remember all the Jill Ellis criticism leading into the tournament? I do, because I had a good bit of it. Trusting the RB and LB she picked. Playing Ertz up higher, with Dahlkemper behind her. Pressing a very high attack with a relative question mark at Goalie. Sticking with some many older players, while giving some older players little chance. She has taken criticism for her lack of full tactical understanding (likely valid).

And, let’s give credit here....she shut everyone up. She proved that while there are chinks in her coaching armor she knows her players. She knows where they are at and what they can bring. She trusts them to put their game forward in the scheme they employ. And mostly importantly....they all listen to her.

I thought if this tournament goes south we will see something much like Ryan in 2007 or Sundhage in 2011....a loss of the team and a quick yank. Especially if a down World Cup followed that Olympics showing.

And she shut it all up. Time and again she (and her staff) had the right read on players, which helped them manage injury and subs well. They had the right tactical read in almost all games (today was a little wonky at first). And most of all they made sound adjustments in game that all players bought into and solidly adapted.

It’s easy to bitch when the coaches mess up. But we don’t take the time as easily when they rocked it. Jill Ellis rocked it this tournament!

If the economics are the same then I agree. If they aren’t I don’t.

If you play on a national team you go to the White House, period.

Heh, I've seen Carli Lloyd blow snot rockets during games before... Spitting is child's play.

You know what....you’re right. It’s not like a pro team that’s paid from television rights and ticket sales. They are paid differently (if not equally).

All that said....it brings up a point I’ve had for years now....any winning team going to the White House....why is this still a thing?

Like this??

Not....really. I liked how the camera panned away quick enough after a moment. I do love Alex.....but I also get how she was wrapped up in the getting kicked out of EPCOT thing the other year. LOL

You had me in full agreement up to the last sentence.

Come on...let’s agree the U-21 team could likely beat them.

Actually learned today a U15 team in Dallas beat the USWNT 5-2 in 2017. And that was just some random club team, not our boys national team. So yes, the national team of 15 yo’s Would mop the floor with the women.
