I already haveGreat. I'll let him know!
Source: the Patriots are signing longtime Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas.
He already has a ring from Denver. $6M seems a bit steep for this late in FA I would've expected 1/2 that, maybe $4M.Hey you never know about Thomas. Could be a decent signing... I mean he will be hungry to play and wants a ring.. It also would not surprise me if the Patriots cut him as well.

Big target and Josh knows him so who knows he could be a Randy Moss-like vet for NE?
Edelman, Gordan and DT that's a nice group of receivers. Throw in Hockerson (sadly I don't think NE jumps up to get him), Fant or Irv Smith and they will be a match up nightmare.
*TJ Hockenson, TE, Iowa. Currently the #1 projected TE in this years draft.*another ring... My bad.... Yeah not sure why the price tag was that high on him.. Would have thought they would have brought him in on a prove it deal ($2-3 million). I feel stupid, who is Hockerson?

Good point. I jumped the gun as well.Contract details? Guaranteed? Incentives are king in NE contracts.....
Mosses skills had also diminished prior to arriving in Foxboro and after departing. I am no way implying Thomas is the next Moss. If NE gets 3/4 of Mosses production from Thomas this is a very good signing. The DT signing is not the Randy Moss signing. To me DTs skill sets have dropped of a lot, now maybe there is a chance that had to do with the QBs or the system. He is a reasonable signing a seasoned vet that know the game, a security blanket for the position. Now if our resident addict is allowed to play this year then this signing becomes a little more scary.

I agree it's a decent signing but we'll have to see about great, to many intangibles. Does the recovery hold up, how many steps has he lost, can he pick up the playbook, can he get his timing with Brady together, can he play selfless football?
I don't think we will see Gordon play this year but if he comes back it would be a nice set of WRs and if any of the new TE signing pan out all the better.
