It is rumored that Jerrod Mayo may not be back as the HC of the NEP in 2025. Sources close to Johnathan Kraft say that his tenure as the head coach will be hanging in the balance in the final two games. Both Robert and Johnathan have been very upset with the repeated mistakes and penalties over the previous four weeks and the lack of improvement. The source also intimated that if it does happen, the broom may well extend to the front office.

The source would not mention candidates or people under possible consideration.

That leaves the answers up to even more rumors. Ben Johnson, Mike Vrabel appear to be the most often mentioned names. Then again, how many teams will fire their coaches immediately make the calls before the Patriots? The other question is.......How many have already started calling every potential candidate?
It's year one I feel it fair to give him some time. But hey Pats fans to include owners are spoiled so the lack of patience is expected.

This caught me a bit off guard. I know that JK has been shown at games really pissed off in the Owners' Booth but I wasn't expecting someone in his immediate circle to throw a hand grenade this early. Wonder if it's meant to stir the pot on or in the coaching staff?

Yeah I don't know it's so hard to trust anything you read on line. I just feel another year is fair, but Wolfe does IMO need to find a quality O Line coach that seems to be the biggest issue

I might be the only person who thinks that he's not doing anything because he wants to keep the job he has. Once the FA market opens in March, he'll have to prove that he deserves to stay. The problem with that, is that he might make splashy moves to satisfy the media, but not the needs of the team. If he follows the path of his father, he might sit back for just a little too long and miss every player who could help the team. "Screwed if you do, screwed if you don't". We can start counting the days to the opening of the gate on Sunday March 10, 2025.

74 Days to 2025 Free Agency..............

Splashy moves are not what this team needs and I see splashy mock drafts too. This team needs to address both sides of the line at least one S and one CB. This can be addressed in FA and the draft. I see a lot of drafts taking Travis Hunter, I would be pissed if that's what we do.

ME too!

OL, DL, Edge, CB,WR, S

Thisdraft is going to offer opportunities to trade down, possibly two or three times and pile up first round picks in 2025. They might lose out on a couple of studs, but they will have the draft cornered in 2025 if, IF, Wolfe can push and pull the throttles.

Known........the Giants and Raiders are looking for a QB. If the Patriots finish 3-14, one or both of them will immediately be on their doorstep. Mke the trade with the team closest to them. My example would be.......If the Patriots get #1, sell it to either of these two. If either is #2, sell it to them for the #2 and their 2025 first round pick plus a 2 or 3 this year. That will force the team that's left over to come forward and get #2 or risk a lower team getting it. Again, their pick this year and first net year plus a second or third this year. Then they will have to look at themselves and go after whatever they couldn't sign in free agency. Who knows? If they score heavily in free agency, Travis Hunter just might be the guy that they need at CB.

Just don't know how well Wolfe will be at gathering pieces in free agency. He might have all of the answers and make the best moves. Or he could shit the bed. Won't know until Saturday March 16 when the first and second tier of free agency have been swept clean.

I have a friend who worked for the Krafts at their estate. His description of Jonathan was not pretty.
Years since then have done little to change that image of Jonathan.
Let's just say that we were lucky to have Robert. Robert has a higher view of Jonathan than many others.....

Vrabel and Skippy McD sounds like a great pair.

The one thing I really respect about the Steelers organization is their ability to stick with their coaching.

But this year has been truly bad from a coaching standpoint.

Let's send 'em Mayo and test that theory!
