What a shit show this team has become. Mayo has been a disaster of a head coach. You do not throw your players under the bus like he has. You don’t call your team “soft” to the media. From day one when he said the Patriots will be on a spending free in free agency.(nope). Saying the better qb will be the starter and letting Brissett be the guy. Saying the coaches are calling the right plays but it doesn’t matter because the players are messing it up.

Keep your fucking mouth shut moron. You are a joke of a head coach and in way over your head.

I don't think Mayo is the problem. I do blame a lot on AVP. When the run game is working he goes away from it. When it's not working he continues to go back to it.
He needs to sit Polk bottom line. Polk is causing a lot of problems with his speaking out since say one. Kid you're a rookie. Shut your mouth and start proving it with your actions. He has single handedly stalled more drives then he has helped.
We all know the Oline problems which have been increased due to injury. Not an excuse for AVP but it is what it is.
The defense minus the last two weeks has done a decent job. They're on the field way too much and very often defending a short field. Barrmore out has been a huge loss.

OK, onto Mayo. He's from the old school. A rookie HC at that. Letting these kids run the asylum is not an easy game to play. He could lose the locker room if not careful. His on field coaching has been ok. He hasn't made a bunch of dumb challenges or misused the clock minus Maye's first game in mop up time. Lots of injuries compounded by a less than stellar team isn't easy to find wins. We all guessed this was about a 4 win team prior to the season start. Now we expect miracles.
He could definitely choose his words better when dealing with the media no doubt. As for the FA spending, he really has little control minus input. The lack of quality FAs signing is more on Wolfe and Kraft. They did sign their own which is a plus as you know what you're getting.
Kraft, Wolfe and Mayo all told us this wasn't going to be an option overnight rebuild, it would take time.
I'm giving them the chance. Next year a high draft pick that's hopefully traded down and if lucky a good FA pick up or two and this team will look a lot different.
The team captains also need to take blame for some of these locker room shenanigans. Granted injuries again have hurt that.

On the bright side Maye had another decent game considering everything I already mentioned. Lucky he didn't have two picks. Those DBs for the Jags looked like Polk as they should've been intercepted.

Very hard to watch but let's give them a chance. The team hasn't given up yet. Great stop on 4th and short showed they still have fight in them.

But ffs bench Polk please.

I don't miss him. His time had come.

Glad we had him for those two decades and wouldn't have wanted anyone else. But his way of dealing with the media was more than getting old. His rift with the Kraft's was also a reason he needed to go. Loved his as a disciplinarian but his total control thing and thinking he knew everything was also used up. Do we forget his drafting, his last OC and DC choices, his lack of developing a coaching tree...

I wish Mayo was more of a disciplinarian. Maybe he still has time to change.

Kayshon Boutte led all Patriots receivers in snaps and routes run in Week 7’s loss to the Jaguars.
Boutte saw only two targets and registered one catch for 33 yards, but the second-year receiver continues to see a growing role in New England’s offense. His 37 routes run, per PFF, were the most he’s run all season, and his 50 offensive snaps were the most of any skill position player outside of Hunter Henry (52). Boutte was once considered a future first-rounder after he broke out for 45-735-5 as a true freshman at LSU in 2020. Injuries and poor quarterback play derailed him in 2021 and 2022, which led to him getting drafted in the sixth round of last year’s draft. While he’s far from a reliable fantasy start, it’s worth wondering if the potential he showed in college is starting to shine through in practice, which has led to the increase in playing time.

According to FOX Sports Radio, the Dolphins have had multiple conversations since Sunday with the Patriots. Nothing has been leaked from either side but "":"sources""" believe that Joe Milton is the target that are in the Dolphins' crosshairs. Here's where the real daydreams and Key Lime Pie coating and fillings start being offered. The radio guy thinks that the Dolphins are so desperate that they have offered their 2025 second round pick.

Dolphins are falling like the proverbial 'rock' and it's expected that these types of rumors are going to start flying. The Bills reacted to to the Jets signing of Davante Adams by making a lightning move and trading for Amari Cooper of the Browns. The Bills are now two and a half games up on the Dolphins and three games up on the Jets. Neither can fall any further behind or risk falling out of the Playoffs altogether.

FOX believes that the Dolphins will sweeten the deal before Friday. Are the Patriots about to eat dessert or are they going to stick with a strict diabetic meal plan??

If offered a second round pick…. I’m all over that.

I really doubt that a guy who has played 0 snaps of offense taken in the 6th round of this past draft is all of a sudden being valued by a team as a 2nd round pick. At best the Patriots could get a 5th for him if they were open to trading him and a team got desperate. You really need to find a new radio station to listen to if they are spouting this nonsense.

The Athletic’s Chad Graff writes Joshua Uche and Jonathan Jones could “likely be had for a Day 3 draft pick.”
Uche, 26, has just five sacks since what looked to be a breakout 2023 season where he had 11.5. He’s played just 35 percent of the snaps for New England this year. Jones, 31, would likely be more coveted by a team trying to patch up their secondary. Jones has started 37 games for the Patriots in the last three years.

In all honesty I do not remember that but it makes sense, seem I recall saying keep him as a coach strip him of GM duties. In the end I do feel it was time for a change and we have to give this new regime some time. Right now we all need some patience IMO

Mayo is driving me crazy. When asked about the 2 wr’s making instagram posts after the game, he said he wished players would keep it “in house”. That’s great. That’s how it should be. But then he talks crap on the team directly after the game during his press conference. Practice what you preach.

I do both.

I forget what I remembered and remembered what I forgot, usually much too late to do or say anything about it.

But I remember and agreeing with Reb about staying as coach and giving up GM duties.
I also remember me saying that the game was passing him by and that a change was needed.

The media generally leads the charge. They get a ball of snow rolling and allow it to get so large that no one can slow it down. It continues to pick up speed until it hit a tree and explodes into a million pieces. No one can find the ball that started the monster.
