FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots made their second future signing from outside the organization Wednesday.

The Patriots signed defensive tackle David Parry, a 2015 fifth-round pick out of Stanford, to a future/reserve contract. He can’t play for the Patriots in the postseason and won’t officially be added to the roster until March.

Parry was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts and also has spent time with the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings. He has 83 tackles and five sacks in four NFL seasons.

Parry was arrested in 2017 and charged with felony robbery, felony unlawful use of transportation and misdemeanor threats after stealing and crashing a golf cart. He pled down to disorderly conduct and attempted unlawful means of transportation and avoided jail time.

The Patriots only have two other defensive tackles signed through next season in Lawrence Guy and Adam Butler. Both Malcom Brown and Danny Shelton are free agents after the season.

How drunk do you have to be to get arrested for stealing a golf cart?

"When officers asked how much he had consumed, Parry answered, “a lot” and “more than I should have been,” according to the report obtained by ESPN. Police also did not administer a breath test because of Parry’s repeated “dry heaving,” but drew blood from his arm......"

I understand that Irsay was his attorney.....

FOXBORO — The Patriots had all 53 players on the field for their second practice of the week.

Devin McCourty, who missed two practices a week ago after suffering a concussion in the regular season finale, was present this afternoon. He was listed as a full participant yesterday, which bodes well for his availability Sunday against the Chargers.

Cordarrelle Patterson was listed as a full participant yesterday, as well. He sat out of the Week 17 win over the Jets due to a knee injury.

Tight end Dwayne Allen (knee) and defensive end Deatrich Wise (ankle) were the only players limited yesterday.

Both teams will release their second injury report of the week later this afternoon.

For the Chargers, keep an eye on the status of star running back Melvin Gordon. He sat out of yesterday’s practice with “sore knees,” according to coach Anthony Lynn.

Survey says Tom Brady is QB that players want to face least -- and most

Tom Brady appeared at the top of two seemingly opposite lists during an anonymous player survey conducted by The Athletic. He is the quarterback most players don’t want to face in a big game, according to a survey of 81 players. And in a poll of 72 players, Brady is also the quarterback most players want to face.

The reasoning, however, is the same. Most players want to face him because he’s the best, and they want to beat the best. Most players don’t want to face him because he’s the best and therefore he’s the hardest to beat.

Brady also received votes for the most overrated quarterback.

Interesting:

"The Miami Herald‘s Almando Salguero also quickly corroborated Rapoport’s report, citing a league source who said the Dolphins will try to hire Flores “as soon as the New England Patriots lose in the playoffs.” But if that effort somehow fails, their second choice is Dallas Cowboys defensive assistant Kris Richard

"The Miami Dolphins search for head coach appears to be coming to an end shortly. According to Sirius XM NFL host, Alex Marvez, the Dolphins are locked in on hiring Kris Richard at the end of the Dallas Cowboys postseason run.

Hate losing Flores. Schiano? Bielema?

Not done yet. Miami cannot make offer yet. This whole thing may be to disrupt NE?
Alternatively, they might not wait if NE continues it's SB run.....

Even if they manage to stave it off for now, he’s clearly going to be a HC in the league sooner than later. One more year would be nice though.

If he goes to Miami, by definition he's a loser.
Want Dan Marino leaning over your shoulder asking you "what are you doing?"

So Dolphins are last at 100 to 1 while Jets and Bills are tied at 66 to 1.
We'll see whose closer a year from now...if I remember..
FFF will some how make this a controversy about officiating and NE and whine about it I'm sure.

Talk about wasting money...............

No one has signed a free agent. No one has drafted one player. Not one team has lost a single player.

Odds for something that hasn't changed to change in a year is like alchemy. It's nothing more than getting a fool to spend money, or in reality, give it away. Fans of 30 teams will have bet millions and the winner is the bookmaker because he knows he'll easily cover the bets on the two winners from the French Riviera. AND he'll only pay on one winner on 2/3/2020.

Ever see those mediums and people that talk to the dead on TV? How come they can't get future info now? Or those gypsy women who charge $10 to tell you your future? How come they're not buying a winning lottery ticket or making a future bet every year?

Are you sure they don't?
