Clearly he needs another pair of eyes on this.
Let’s hope the new Def. Ass. Austin will help stabilize that aspect of the game

And yes I abbreviated that on purpose.

I'd be crazy happy if Burns was there at 20.

I'd take him over either Devin. I'd be in favor of trading up for Brian Burns.

I think he is easily the best LB in this draft, and it's a need.

Maybe they could try Bud at Ilb.... serious. I think he'd do better there.

I'd be happy with Burns, Wilson, and there are 2 or 3 CBs I could live with at 66.

Bud at ILB...athletic yes, but I think he's a little large for a ILB would struggle in coverage unless he dropped 20 lbs or so.

He'd absolutely have to lose weight, yeah.

He has the natural athleticism, and the coverage ability. It's his run stopping and pass rushing that he's deficient at. Couldn't hurt to try him there, before cutting bait next year.

Timmons started as a OLB...of course made his 2nd NFL payday as a ILB.

He should consider it, but I really expect Dupree to go to a 43 based team after this season and most likely end up as a depth/rotation player.

@ATL96Steeler

Here's all I've seen on numbers:

Jeremy FowlerESPN Staff Writer
Ben Roethlisberger's new deal with the Steelers will average well north of $30 million per year for 2020-21, placing him in the top-three highest paid quarterbacks for those two years, a source told ESPN. Roethlisberger's three-year extension, which the team announced Wednesday, includes Roethlisberger's $12 million salary in 2019 from his previous deal. The $30-plus-million average is the new money that factors into 2020-21, though much of that will be paid out in a signing bonus.

That makes sense.

They have to feel pretty good about him playing the '21 season as well....but I'm pretty sure we'll see some roster bonuses in there as he'll be 39 y/o or thereabouts the last year of his new deal.

Ouch. I know he deserves it, but taking as much as he can hurts how the Steelers can continue to add talent to place around him.

I know it's not my body on the line, but he's made so much already... I'd be more interested in making a run to improve the legacy.

This doesn't help. NFL high end contracts are out of whack. The NFLPA isn't working for the majority of its members.
