I'd be fine with that too. I hope they are looking at something like that, seeing as how they tendered him and didn't re-sign him.

Just plugging a hole, for now. Dupree isn't terrible like Burns. But he's also certainly not worth a 9 million cap hit. Houston probably isn't anymore either, and should come cheaper.

I think Houston will be like Suggs...7-8 sacks a season until he's horizontal and they start throwing dirt on him....lol

You're right, I lot of people like to hammer on Bud...he's a good football player, just not a talented edge rusher, doesn't have the knack for it.

How about Zach Brown?

I'd call him a priority FA

Heard on the Steeler Nation Radio about possible FA options at the LB position. Names mentioned were Zach Brown, who is now a free agent, and Derron Lee from the Jets. Lee would for sure be the cheaper option but Brown might be the best option. Plus, according to SNR, we only have about $9 mil left in cap space. What say you all?

As long as Houston can still play it might be worth it.

Artie is a bum.

The Safeties are Sean Davis and Terrell Edmunds. For better or worse, that isn't changing. The Steelers are satisfied for now.

The CB's are Joe Haden, Steven Nelson and Mike Hilton. I like that. I really LIKE that. I'm fine with Sensabaugh or Sutton as the 4th CB. Just not as a starter.

The Defensive Backfield is set as far as I'm concerned.
I still think they need a reserve safety, but that can be had for cheaper

I think we need another corner to be honest. We need youth. Haden is gonna be 30 and the ROI on him isn't in our favor in my opinion, Burns sucks, Sensabaugh and Sutton haven't shown anything for me to be okay with them starting, I am reserving judgement on Steven Nelson right now. That leaves Hilton who is meh at best.

Can anyone remember the last big time free agent that came here? Kevin Greene? Ryan Clark? Pittsburgh isn't a very big Free Agent spot. I think they need to try and change that.

We haven't won and we don't sign free agents. It's also not about winning titles for us right now, it's about improving. We need to make the playoffs before we can win the AFC title.

Chicago benefitted from having Allen Robinson. Big reason for their success. Sammy Watkins in KC added more offensive power. Lamarcus Joyner was pretty good on defense for the Rams. No, it doesn't guarantee a title, but we need to change things up. What we're doing ain't working.

you realize chicago brough in all kinds of offensie talent

that AROB had 55 catches for 754 yards and 4td's , kinda pedestrian numbers, and he was their #1. thats not really pushing the needle, especially for a teams top wr. but whateverits proven time and again with ALL teams, that winning free agency doesnt equate to playoffs or championships. I kinda am under the opinion right now that no matter what they do, you're not gonna be happy

Got most of his 700-some yards last season with Blake Bortles. Think what he can do with Ben!

I can see some Mike Wallace 2.0 style production here.

He's got speed to burn to help make up for the loss of Brown. Makes WR a lot less pressing of an issue in the draft, though I'd imagine they'll still address it in the first four rounds or so

Eli Rogers is also back in the fold and he had some nice contributions when he returned last year

Maybe even pushes WR out of consideration in R1.

Looking at LB's, or the TE Hockenson now.

I'm digging the signing of Donte Moncrief for sure. I'm hoping this means we will not be drafting a WR. Focus more on the defense and the TE position.

Also, interesting question. How many of the 10 draft picks that we have do you actually think we will end up taking? I don't see us using all 10. I see us making some Day 2 deals maybe?
