Isn't Akron St pretty much the only team u can reschedule with? Maybe an FCS? All the other teams have full schedules, right? U can't play more than the NCAA allows.

Florida St (5-6) scheduled Louisiana-Monroe as a make-up game (Dec 2nd) last year just to get that 6th win and become bowl eligible.

There were a lot of teams in the south last season that had games cancelled due to hurricanes, so the pool of available teams was much larger.

yea, we were all a ways off. this Michigan game will be a real barometer in my opinion. If they come out and show fight and vast improvement over what we saw last week, particularly at the o-line, i could see us pulling out Purdue, NW, MN, Bethune, Ill for 5 wins, with a possible 6th in MSt at home. it kinda hinges on A-mart getting healthy and staying there. some of those games will be dogfights if we have to go with Bunch.

honestly, as a lot of people have said, the team really does look better. a lot more fight than last year. on the defense especially. hopefully that shows against Mich.

Lol at Nebraska having more yalevt than 9 of their opponents. No... just no

I'll maybe, MAYBE, buy that on offense for you guys. But your D is G5 level. Frost will get it turned around but right now you guys doht have the horses

And you doht confuse recruiting rankings with his good guys are afyer a few years in a program . There's a reason iowas recruiting ranking averages for shot but they end up with more NFL draft picks than all but like 15 teams in cfb. I understand your optimism but you guys have a tough schedule and the d just caht in price that much in one year without a huge influx of talent ( which you didnt get ). I think you'll be back to legit 9+ win team in a few years but this ain't the year . Honestly I hope in wrong. The league is more fun when nebraska is decent

More talented teams dobt lose by 30+ points man. Doesnt matter who is coaching. In college talent wins 90% of the time

Lol ok man. I'll be back to tell you I told you so again this fall.

Fall is almost over. Will he be back? Hopefully yes, to eat some crow.

Right now, I will guess Nebraska to be a 13 point underdog, only because the sportsbooks know Nebraska fans will bet it.

This would be a no bet game for me. Only someone that does not enjoy a guaranteed win would bet this one.

if the weather is windy, bet Iowa strong on the win.
If the weather is calm, Nebraska has a chance.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers are 4-7. I am better than 4-7.

iowa is 7-4 with two losses at home. The last home loss was 11/10 to Northwestern where Iowa scored a whopping 10 points, at home. Northwestern ran well on Iowa.

Iowa had better hope for a windy day, otherwise, the Nebraska offense will score on Iowa.

The main question, as you have pointed out, has the Nebraska defense moved up from the G5 level?

If it is the same officiating crew, Iowa wins the game automatically. The officials were bad.

As an Iowa fan, this is what you want to see

Officials: Referee: Don Capron; Umpire: Tim Owens; Linesman: John Wiercinski; Line judge: Ron Tipton; Back judge: Dennis Morris; Field judge: Lamont Simpson; Side judge: John Hayes; Center judge: Brent Durbin; Temperature: 27 • Wind: NNE 16 • Weather: Overcast, windy

If the weather is this

Wind: SW 4 mph • Weather: Clear, sunny

The Nebraska offense will do some damage,

edit: after reading what RA posted about the iowa defense. Crap. You have nothing to worry about. Bet your farm, the corn harvest from next year, and your hogs.

We shall see. You guys have done pretty much what I expected save for the win over MSI ( who is not see good as I thought they'd be but still it was a good win ). I'd guess we are going to see s 38-21 type game but who knows. It's supposed to be 47 and clear on Friday btw

No. You were adamant that it was going to be 2-10. Our avi bet favored you, as the push was set at 4.

Yep I said 2-10 with a best case of 5-7. You've won 4 and will slnost certainly end with 4 .

And we should. But I wouldn't wager any money on it. Enjoy it while you can. The times, they are a changin'.

...................
10/20 Minnesota - WIN
11/3 @Ohio State - L
11/10 Illinois - WIN
11/17 Michigan State - might win confidence is 5%
11/23 @Iowa - might win - might win confidence is 20%
........

What I predicted on page 2 of this thread.

Updating my prediction

if the game is windy, Nebraska has ZERO chance. Adrian Martinez was completely flustered by the wind. In the first quarter, into the wind, his passes floated, with the wind, his passes carried, second quarter, missing wide open Stanley Morgan for TD.

Nebraska can play for ruining the Iowa season and lowering the Iowa bowl game, although, the Iowa bowl game is probably locked because their fans travel well.
