As a Boston fan, I'm not really ashamed that Boston dropped two to open that Chicago series.

Chicago was a tough match-up from a rebounding stand point... but more than that, last season's Chicago was a pretty good team when they actually flipped their switch on. The 4 wins vs Cleveland demonstrate that.

Rondo actually pumped up and playing to his capabilities along with Jimmy Butler... good rebounding and defense... Chicago was a good team.

Yeah, that's why they release them....
You still can't even remember the name of whatever you're talking about... this isn't a big issue, DJ.

This is third time you've said "if Rondo isn't injured"...................

when did he resign with the Celtics..............??

Last things I heard or saw was that he's trying to get a spot on the Clippers to replace Chris Paul.

I go to bed at 9:00 PM EST time but I'm pretty sure my phone alerts would have woken me up with this news.

Where's the other 2 times?
And what?

I'm trying to figure out what you're saying. You do realize that Rondo played on the Bulls last year?

And the only time the series was competitive was when their best player went down at the end of game 2. Doesn't sound like a team that's a piece away from beating Cleveland.
How many pieces away from beating Cleveland is Miami?

Nobody in the East is a piece away imo.

But Boston won 53 games while rarely playing with a full squad for the first half of the season, I think they are closer than most.

Sparhawk, the Lakers added new managementt in Magic and Pelinka.....they went out and upgraded the C position and the PG position.....it's gonna be hard for the Lakers not to win 33-35 games this season.

Hell, the Lakers could win 38-40 games and be a team that is playing spoiler at the end of the season. If things go just right.

Heat could quickly become their biggest threat.

Winslow got injured for the year 12 games into the season. No Bosh for the entirety of the season. Both reserve guards in Johnson and Richardson for gaps in the season, along with Waiters missing the final month of the year due to a high ankle sprain. Miami had their injuries.

I've always said that Hayward to Miami or Boston doesn't put either team above Cleveland right now. But it puts them respectively in the seat to make things interesting should Cleveland suffer a key injury whereas previously it wouldn't matter because they just had Lebron.

Billups is in no hurry to be the GM of the Cavs.....he has agreed to play for the Killer 3's and makes his debut in Big 3 league in Charotte, NC.

I agree DJ.
I'm trying to understand why BOS fans keep referring to LAL 2018 as a top-5 pick....

They are hoping and praying? I am biased, but while we haven't been active in FA, we have improved our squad.

I know. That's why they've got them here to play in the summer league to get them somewhat adjusted to America. They're going to have to get acclimated quick. Zeller, Johnson, Zerebko and possibly Olynyk will be gome. One way or the other, they'll be playing basketball for the Celtics.

I see 35 wins as the best case scenario for LA. I'm thinking they fall in the 25-33 range.

You can't pay everybody max money.....it's called managing the salary cap.

They have 3 guys who can put up 20ppg (Butler, Towns, and Wiggins) and a PG and PF who more than capable at their postion....Teague could easily put up 13ppg and 7apg while Gibson can add 12ppg and 7rpg.....

You are the one who said they went all in. Not me.

They had the cap space to pay Millsap or Lowry. Instead, they opted to go with two role players in Teague and Gibson. Their reason for not paying Millsap was that they did not want to commit to him long term, because they will need to pay their young guys soon. In other words, they exercised restraint. They did not go all in. Wiggins and Towns are still on rookie deals.
