I haven't seen that one yet? Guess we should receive a comp pick next year
Bigger contract given to Thornton and unless MB starts Thornton will play more. So I doubt it

Dak Prescott arrested for DUI in Starkville

STARKVILLE — Former Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with driving under the influence, Starkville Police Chief Frank Nichols told The Clarion-Ledger.

The arrest occurred near the Cotton District in Starkville between 1-1:30 a.m. Police pulled over Prescott in a white 2016 Cadillac Escalade. No further details were immediately available.

Prescott's representation, Pro Sports Management, refused comment on the situation when asked multiple times Saturday.

Prescott spent Saturday morning hosting a camp that more than 200 children attended at Starkville High School. He was in Starkville for the school's pro day on Thursday, throwing in front of scouts from 30 of the 32 NFL teams. He met with all of them at the NFL combine in Indianapolis, and the Dallas Cowboys, Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks are all believed to have interest in Prescott. He was expected to visit with the Buffalo Bill prior to the draft.

The arrest comes about two months from the NFL draft at the end of April. The quarterback is projected as a second- or third-round pick after winning the Senior Bowl MVP and working out at the NFL combine last month.

It's unclear at this point how much this arrest will affect Prescott's NFL draft stock, though certainly one of his positive traits for the image-conscious NFL was his image as a good character athlete.

CBS Sports draft analyst Dane Bugler Tweeted, "Wrong time to make a poor decision."

Prescott holds every passing record at Mississippi State and graduated as one of the program's most beloved all-time players. He guided the team to a No. 1 ranking in 2014 and followed it up with a nine-win season in 2015. It was the first time in program history that MSU won back-to-back nine-win seasons.

CB Casey Hayward signs with SD. Maybe now they will go OT in the draft and leave Ramsey for us.....
On a uh oh note, Dunbar visiting the Seahawks....

Because everyone is kissing their asses and telling them how great they are. Millions of bucks in these guys futures, so no one wants to be the one to tell them "no" or stand in their way. So a few drinks and "I'm fine to go" and no one will bitch slap him to take the keys away.

It is amazing. I never had millions of dollars in my near future but even at 22 I think I would have held back from partying but who knows.

I wasn't a Rhodes Scholar but I do know enough about finance, that I would take absolutely ZERO risks between the time I played my last college football game and the day I signed my first NFL contract. Too many options but I guess these guys just think they'll be able to get out of anything by saying they are CFB players going to the NFL. Thinking you are bullet proof causes lots of bad decisions, though I guess.

This is the same guy that got wasted at a concert last Spring Break and he and his crew got their asses kicked by a bunch of thugs. Drinking is probably a bad idea for him, but I guess thats what they assume college is about

These fuckers need to quit yanking my chain? Weddle not in the mix?

Cowboys

  • According to Brandon George, the Cowboys had “some interest” in CB Casey Hayward before he signed a three-year deal with the Chargers.
  • Bryan Broaddus hears that the Cowboys are not among the four reported teams in the mix for S Eric Weddle.

The longer this drags out the worse Weddle looks. It isn't like he is Prime Time, but he's sure coming across as having the Neon diva attitude.

Might not be the worst thing at what it would cost to sign him. He could be great the first season, then lose one step and be a super expensive Jeff Heath

Forte says Cowboys, Bucs, Patriots, Packers were interested

In his introductory press conference as a member of the New York Jets, running backMatt Forte elaborated on the other teams that were pursuing the eight-year veteran.

Via JoeBucsFan.com, Forte said that Cowboys and Buccaneers had significant interest, and that the Packers and Patriots had minor interest.

In Tampa, the interest in Forte was an obvious hedge against the Bucs failing to keep running back Doug Martin. Once Martin agreed to terms, the Bucs were out of the Forte business.

The Cowboys, Packers, and Patriots made no similar alternative arrangements, which puts each of them in play for help at the position, via free agency or the draft. With the market softened, each of the three are in position to get an affordable option at tailback, from Chris Johnson to Arian Foster to LeGarrette Blount to Joique Bell to James Starks to Alfred Morris.

Morris is the one I'm hoping for. Foster is pretty injury prone. I wouldn't be upset with either of them. However, I also wouldn't be upset with a 2nd rounder on a RB and letting DMac run again next year full time.
