The Dallas Cowboys re-signed offensive tackle Charles Brown to a one-year contract on Friday, according to Rob Phillips.

Brown, 28, is a former second-round pick of the New Orleans Saints back in 2010. He spent four years in New Orleans before he signed on with the Giants as an unrestricted free agent.

However, Brown lasted less than a year with the Giants before catching on with the Jets last summer. The Jets released him at the start of the season, but he was later signed to a contract by the Cowboys.

In 2015, Brown was active for 15 games for the Cowboys.

Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports that the Cowboys are expected to re-sign CB Morris Claiborne to a
one-year deal.

For those wanting Amukamara

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Jaguars are signing CB Prince Amukamara to a one-year contract.

Jacksonville brought Amukamara in for a visit on Wednesday and reports said he was still meeting with the team as of this afternoon.

Amukamara, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Giants back in 2011. The team elected to pick up his fifth-year option last year.

In 2015, Amukamara appeared in 11 games for the Giants and recorded 63 tackles, one interception, one forced fumble, a recovery and 10 pass defenses.

Saw that on Prince. And grimes went to TB. Liked both players.

I'm happy with Mo coming back. Don't expect him to be the #6 player in the draft. That's a sunk cost. Just expect him to be a #3/4 CB. I was fine with him last year if he was in that role. He wasn't a horrible starter and if Scandrick was here I think he would have been OK. Rather have him than shitty Carr.

Earl, Still want to argue Carr versus Scandrick?

I like Grimes, wish he had come here. I would have started a twitter account just to talk shit to his mouthy ass wife. Actually I think it would have been funny the first time she called out Jerry on Twitter though. Goofy Bich!

Never been a fan of Prince. He gets beat a lot. He and Mo are kind of a wash. I'm ok with Mo coming back. Having Scandrick back with be huge for the secondary.

I wasn't a fan cause he seemed to be hurt and not on the field quite a bit, i agree he and Mo are similar in they both get beaten often. That said Mo, Scandrick and Jones are decent start, now they need couple more pieces. Carr probably needs to be gone, though Im not sure the Carroll guy from Philly is an upgrade/downgrade.

I would Really like to get RG3 as a backup. Grimes or Prince would have made me happy to. For the most part Wilkerson and Berry IMO are the only 2 players who would impact this team in a major way. We never truly had a shot at either guys. Weddle and Jenkins would have been nice, but I can live with out them.

Hope we land Hoyer or RG3. If we get Ramsey or Hargrave I consider bringing Hardy back for the right price. I know I'm gonna get flack for that statement. Just my opinion.

Plus I think RG will go to where he has the best chance to start. As for Hardy unless he'll play for 2M he's not playing for Dallas.

  • David Moore of the Dallas Morning News reports that the Cowboys have no intention of bringing the QB Johnny Manziel for a visit or signing him to a contract following his release from the Browns on Friday.
  • Moore’s source added that the Cowboys won’t pursue the Manziel and don’t forsee them having any serious discussions about him, until he gets his life back in order.”
UGGH so you're saying theres a chance?

Heard someone on NFL network saying he thought Hardy would be back with Dallas. Also said something about them having talks before he became a FA, but Dallas was offering less than he wanted. I tend to doubt both comments. I think he is gone and am fine with it. If they bring him back it needs to be with an understanding that his bull shit won't be tolerated. Don't be late for or miss meetings. Don't argue with coaches and basically stop being a total asshole. So if it is a contract without guaranteed dollars and the conversation takes place to make it crystal clear that he will be sat and then cut if he starts up the bull shit again I could stomach him being resigned. But just think it's best to let him peddle his wares elsewhere.

LOL...and with Jerry it's only going to take like a month of not being arrested and one bullshit conversation where Johnny says he's changed...

If Gregory hadn't been suspended and Lawerence coming off back sugery, I would tell Hardy To let the door hit'em where the dog should have bit'em, but now we kind of need a veterans presence and one who can play. Things have actually played out in his favor.
