I don't think anyone ever said they'd trade a puck for Murray, I know I haven't. When I see the words "he made his bed" I take it the person making that statement has some hate for the guy, and wants nothing more to do with him. If Chip was still their coach I'm 99% sure Murray would be out of there, I doubt that's the case now.
As for Dallas giving him 6M, I think we all knew Dallas was gonna lose either DM or Dez, and I think we all knew and agreed Dez was the priority. I don't get made when a player goes for the money, especially NFL players with their short careers.

NO team is trading for Murrary & taking on that bloated contract. Fact remains he made his bed, now lay it. He misses the Cowboys more than they will ever miss him. Not hate, simply FACTS.

Again never said trade for him.
I'll ask you two questions.
1. If he's released do you welcome him back?
2. If you were in his shoes do you take the money from Philly?

1. At bargain price
2. If I would have taken it, I wouldn't have looked back

Off topic, but I would much rather have Ware back......

Money does not always buy happiness. I dont have sympathy for Murray. WTF were these guys saying that Murray was going to be a force for the Eagles? Anybody that ever watched Murray knew that his strong suit was going between the tackles. He simply did not fit their offense. Philly is a complete shithole. A dump of a city and horrible fans. Fact of the matter is Murrays feeling got hurt, his panties wadded up, and he found a team dumb enough to give him a fat contract. Lets be real and say that Murray would not have made a difference for us last year. This team was done as soon as Romo and Dez went down. Dez came back and was only a shell of his former self. It is actually in the Cowboys best interest for Murray to stay put and hurt the Eagles cap

And everything Chip said was he wanted a N/S RB. Chip is the guy who's said one thing and did another.
As for the saying money doesn't buy happiness, if you were an NFL player you'd have made the same choice Murray did.

No doubt I would have taken as much money as I could get. And if things didn't work out and I wanted to be back in Dallas, then I'd be willing to take whatever they offered to get back here.

I have zero interest in bringing him back in for anything more than a few million a year, definitely wouldn't give anything up for his contract. If PHI cut him and he wanted to be here on a 2yr/$8M contract with a team option for a 3rd at $5M, welcome back. Otherwise, spend money on Lamar Miller or some other young back.

That's all I'm saying. No trading for him and no 8M contract for him. If he's cut tell him the 2015 offer was 4M now the 2016 offer is 3M, and let Murray decide if that's what he wants to do.

Report: Cowboys not interested in RG3, more likely to pursue other QBs
By Will Brinson | NFL Writer

March 7, 2016 1:45 pm ET

It's been long assumed once the Redskins released him, one of the top suitors for Robert Griffin III this offseason would be the Cowboys. Washington released Griffin on Monday(ending a tumultuous run for Griffin in the nation's capital.

According to multiple reports, however, you shouldn't expect to see him donning the big blue star right away.

Charles Robinson of Yahoo! Sports reports the Cowboys are "not in play" for Griffin at the moment.

So what will the Cowboys -- who very clearly need to work on the backup quarterback position -- do if Griffin isn't in their plans?

According to the Dallas Morning News, there are other targets. Namely, Chase Daniel and Colt McCoy.

Although the Cowboys have been linked to Griffin and Manziel in national reports, Dallas is more likely to pursue Texas prep products Colt McCoy or Chase Daniel in free agency as a veteran backup for Tony Romo.
The Morning News also reports similarly to Robinson the Cowboys aren't necessarily interested in pursuing someone like Griffin.

It makes sense from a logical perspective. (We've all just been thinking in terms of Jerry Jones' perspective.) Griffin is a big name and would be a big distraction to a team often attracted to the biggest names.

RG3 might attract a lot of attention, but some say not from Dallas. (USATSI)

The biggest concern for Dallas should be finding a capable quarterback who can step in and handle the team if Tony Romo goes down.

Griffin is a really talented quarterback but it can't be assumed he'll waltz onto the Cowboys depth chart and be a fit if something happens to Romo. There's also the matter of the cap space issue -- the Cowboys aren't exactly flush with room and they've got bigger issues.

Going cheap on quarterback and finding talent in other areas is a better move.

Good on "no to RG3". What I found odd was that RG3 was said not to be a fit for our system, while the same talking heads said JFF was. HUH?

I'm good with Chase or Colt as the backup, as long as we still go after a QB in the first 3 rounds. I'd expect to take a look at Nick Foles too.

Neither is a fit for our system IMO. that is why I said all along both would be a bad move.

Eagles finalizing trade that will send RB DeMarco Murray to Titans
By John Breech

March 7, 2016 7:28 pm ET

The Philadelphia Eagles are on the verge of unloading DeMarco Murray.

The sports agency that represents Murray tweeted on Monday that Philadelphia is in the process of finalizing a deal with Tennessee that will send Murray to the Titans.

According to ESPN.com, the Eagles will get an unspecified draft pick compensation in exchange for Murray.

The fact that Murray is being traded isn't a surprise. The 28-year-old running has wanted out of Philadelphia for months now. In his only season with the team, Murray got lost in Chip Kelly's offense and never really produced. Murray only crossed the 100-yard mark one time in 15 games in 2015.

Murray's failures in Philadelphia were somewhat shocking, considering that he was coming off a 2014 season with the Cowboys where he led the NFL in rushing with 1,845 yards. Murray used the leverage from his 2014 season to score a huge five-year, $42 millioncontract with the Eagles in March 2015.

After Kelly was fired by Philadelphia, Murray still wanted out. The running back even kept his distance from new Eagles coach Doug Pederson.

Pederson admitted on March 3 that there had been zero communication with Murray since Jan. 14, when Pederson was hired.

"I don't know," Pederson said, when asked if Murray was happy. "I haven't talked to him. I can't tell you one way or the other if he is or not."

Pederson and the Eagles spent the day on Monday trading players leftover from the Kelly regime. Besides the Murray trade, the Eagles are also expected to send Byron Maxwell and Kiko Alonso to the Dolphins. However, it should be noted that neither of these trades can be officially finalized until the new league years begins at 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday.

Hatcher released. Wonder if he'd accept a rotation type role and corresponding salary

Does he have anything left in the tank?
Don't know. He certainly isn't the player that left here a couple years ago. That's why I was bringing it up as a cheaper rotation type guy. Not really saying do it, more take a look. Ideally we get younger, but if our choice is Hayden or Hatcher I'm taking Hatcher...
