I almost feel bad for the FA group of RB's. I mean there are some decent names actually hitting the market this year. All that means though is all of them will be getting less than they hoped. The supply very much outweighs the demand at this point.

I kinda don't Forte, and Foster were paid at the top of the chart...when you're RB with a big CH, you better be south of 30 y/o or you're a cap relief target.

I like Forte a little more than Foster, but both should land a job...at much less money...DAL has to be interested.

At least Forte has a better history of staying on the field.

I meant more when you look at the entirety of the RB FA class with Forte, Foster, Miller, Martin, Ivory, Starks, Johnson, MOrris, Blount, Hillman. I mean all those guys have been starters at different times and some of them still have quite a bit left in the tank. The problem for them will be teams will just look at that list and say "We are willing to spend $2 million on a FA RB" and when one of them says no they just move down the list until they do find one. I just see because of the supply the price for them just continues to drop.

DWill got $4mil/2yrs and he was projected to be the back up to Bell...I think $3 mil top side 4 if they expect you to get 250+ touches.

But I get your point...for their level of production, they should get paid more, but the RB role or market value has been minimized.

I guess to me I look at last year's class compared to this year and just see that this one has a lot more at the top and a lot more decent names to it. Yes maybe $2 million was too low but to me all the bargaining power is in the hands of the teams when it comes to the RB's. Oh you don't want to accept this contract well we will just go draft a midround guy for even cheaper than the contract we offered you.

I think it's tough to play out two NFL contracts as a RB...if you do get released from the 2nd one, that 3rd contract is pretty much retirement cash. Teams do basically have their way with you which is why most guys want to go to a playoff caliber team.

Nothing more than rumor now but connecting the dots...Mack has opted out of his deal in CLE leaving $8 mil on the table...wants to play on a playoff team.

Shanny coached in CLE, the Falcons need a C badly and are rumored to be willing to invest FA money to shore up the C and or RG position. Don't be surprised to see ATL throw $10 mil per at him...they would still need to find a WR2 and another edge rusher, but that will get them back in the playoff conversation.

Running backs are.. 5 mil a year is top 10 for the position, just behind Jamaal Charles.

Other running young RB's have been asking more recently Demarco last off season Doug Martin asking for 8 million per this season. Miller is young and a better talent than the those 2 and is asking far less for a starting point.

Not sure if I buy the better talent part. I loved his game vs. Houston last year, had some massive holes he took advantage of in the ones vs. the Giants and Titans, but outside of that I thought he really struggled this past season. Def didn't look as good as Murray heading into FA, or Doug Martin this past year, and I thought he kinda wore down as the season went on.

But RB's are so tough to judge, such a small cap hit for most it doesn't matter too much though. We are talking 8 mil a season for the best RB's to hit free agency in a while. Look at what Suh got in FA, or Mike Wallace, or Revis. And here we are talking
