He vetoed the trade bc Cleveland wanted to pick up his option year and Lucroy didn't want them to. Cleveland also would not guarantee him the catcher position next season with Gomes coming back from injury. They wanted him to play 1st and DH with some time at catcher next season...that would have hurt Lucroy's value so he declined.
