I think Bryan Murray just robbed his nephew blind.

Well let's assume Lehner turns into a legit starter, Buffalo just got a starting goaltender and a quality vet player for a team loaded with youth. They already have plenty of prospects and young guys so losing the 21st doesn't hurt them the way it would other teams and they can afford to take on a contract like Legwand's. Those 2 players can help them more now than whoever the 21st pick is.

Ottawa moves a goalie they don't need and get rid of a guy they didn't have much need for. I think it helps both teams.

Sure, Lehner could turn into a starter but so could any of the other 6 young goalies available. And they could've used that pick to pick up another scorer or a defenceman or anything. Why not use it to go after Ryan O'Reilly? Why not just draft one more player in a deep draft? It just seems like a lot, especially considering they're trading with a division rival.

sounds like its Buffalo or San Jose for Bieksa

this will give Sir Bennington the ability to overpay for Franson :ohwell:

Who cares about that Jstew......imagine how much Cherry is going moan about BieSka leaving the Canucks and making us softer? Like we weren't already softer.... Which should be fixed with caveman lucic...

Grampa jake said this morning that after the Granville street incident, Lucic went as far as buying a summer home in Kelowna so he didnt have to return to vancouver in the offseason

yet now, after all thats happened in his life, he would take a trade back here

Grampa jake knows!!!

An RFA would be enough, but two players and a pick isn't?

Looks like it's a new day in Edmonton.

Lowe would have. And probably added a skater to go along with the pick.

Neither of those players is on Hamilton's level.

But...in that case why not just take Hanifin with that pick? You get more years of control and it costs less (although they're miles from the floor...which is why they need to trade for Lupul and Bozak).
