Self-proclaimed Asshole
I wouldn't give him that money.
I wouldn't give him that money.
I find him interesting. He has everything to help this team.Only drawback may be his attitude. Other than that he seems to be a perfect fit.I'm wondering if the Rangers are going to be interested in Cespedes? I know I read that he's not getting along with coaches in BOS. He seems like he would fit in here with the Latino presence in the organization. We need RH power. He's got 1 year left at 10.5M so we wouldn't have to give up a ton, but I'm not sure how interested I am. He does have a cannon though and wants to play LF.

Hanley Ramirez was offered a QO by the Dodgers. I wish Elvis could hit like HanRam...

The Texas Rangers moved nine players from the 60-day disabled list to the 40-man roster on Monday.
Here are the players moved:
*LF Shin-Soo Choo (bone spur in left elbow and torn cartilage in left ankle)
*RHP Yu Darvish (right elbow inflammation)
*1B Prince Fielder (herniated C5-C6 disc in his neck)
*LHP Matt Harrison (displaced vertebra/spondylolisthesis)
*DH/1B Mitch Moreland (surgery for Os Trigonum Syndrome in left ankle)
*RHP Alexi Ogando (right elbow inflammation)
*LHP Martin Perez (Tommy John surgery)
*2B Jurickson Profar (torn teres major muscle, right shoulder)
*RHP Tanner Scheppers (right elbow inflammation)
Man when they're laid out it's crazy the amount of talent we lost last year, and this doesn't even tell the whole story.
Does anyone believe that Harrison will ever pitch again?
Does anyone believe that Harrison will ever pitch again?
As it pertains to Matt Harrison he will have to stay on the 40 man and try to pitch for the Rangers to get any insurance back on him. If they cut him and buy him out that money is lost all for one free roster spot. So it's smarter to keep him on the 40 man to see if they can get 11MM a year back on that deal if he will never pitch again.
I am with you all as you know on how well these predictions turn out but of the top 30 free agents there were three predicted to sign with the Rangers and oddly two are from the Pirates. They were Russell Martin (4/60), Francisco Liriano (3/37.5) and Noki Aori (3/24). I like Martin but 4 years seems a little long to me.
