I think it would take a ton to get him in terms of prospects. It would also cost $90 million to pay him over the next 4 seasons. I don't think I would.

only asking because i read a report that the Rangers were interested in him but i agree it would cost to get him.

they talked about him, Domonic Brown & $10M for 1 of Chi Chi Gonzales, Jake Thompson or Luke Jackson, 1 of Nick Williams or Lewis Brinson, 1 of Corey Knebel, Phil Klein, Spencer Patton or Keone Kela, and Luis Sardinas. that seems pretty excessive to me

I am a big Colby Lewis fan but you really do not know what you are getting. I would not want to sign him for more than 1 year. And if he ends up with an ERA in the 5's again I would rather take my chances with one of our young pitchers.

just saw a ranking of the top 50 FA's and Colby Lewis was ranked at #26

I wouldn't even consider this scenario.

Thanks Bennie. Really weird. Everything is printed below the avatars in bold print.
Just refresh your computer. Or turn it off for a few, DT.

like i said seems pretty excessive to me

I agree.

I'm not trying to fleece another team. But that one seems like we'd be mortgaging our future sacrificing that many prospects.

i re-reading it and they'd have to sweeten the deal with more money (at least $30M) and a prospect or 2

I can understand why we would not pull the trigger on a trade for Hamels but I have to admit that Darvish, Holland and Hamels would be a nice 3/5ths of our rotation.

No team has made a significant move in the off season. I would expect things to heat up in the near future.

It's time to trade away the underachieving overpaid players on the team for prospects.

I just saw that KC declined the option on Butler, but it was for $15 mil.

So maybe they're trying to get his price down, in hopes of resigning him.

I was "attempting" to emphasis the $15 mil option, rather than the fact it wasn't picked up. Obviously didn't do a very good job of it.

His salary last season was about $7.5, so it could be the Royals might really want him back.

Did I do any better with my second attempt? hahaha

I understand.....pretty funny actually.

Re-read it and laughed at myself about it.

Congrats on the win today. Hey, a win is a win. Now get my Vols one against the Gamecocks, will ya?
