Something about pansies, I think.

I had a few of them but I think the one I had the longest was "Randy Johnson Stole My Petunias". I was also Josh Hamilton's Mendoza Line, Josh Hamilton's Monkey Brain and definitely a few more which I don't remember. I don't know what I ever did to get banned but I did quite a few times.

Not hard to get banned there. People could just dislike your name and report you for it. Also had some very petty people there who would report others for disagreeing with them.

The flagging that went on was ridiculous, and the job those "mods" did was an absolute joke.

One time ever was I able to reclaim a banned account on appeal. I am against most moderation anyway, because I am morally opposed to censorship. I get simple moderation that cleans up things that advertisers don't want etc. ESPN would straight up delete non offensive things because three people disagreed with it.

I'm for moderation that controls trolling.

Nobody is "guaranteeing" him anything. But allowing him the opportunity to continue to do what he did to end the season only makes sense. Keeping him off the roster makes no sense unless they acquire someone else. Either way, he needs to be playing every day.

i agree that he should be given every chance in ST but if he doesn't win a starting position then he should be at AAA and not on the bench

I remember that name. I didn't know that was Darryl.

No Espn refugee on here was RJ stole my petunias.

I think Darryl's handle over on espn was pretty similar to the one he has here as darrylgann

Oh ok. That makes sense because I thought at some point I'd seen a Darryl handle over there.

Damn. I wanted us to acquire him.

Hitting coaches are overrated if the players refuse to listen. I know we rag on Magadan a lot, but he actually made a damn fine statements in a piece put out today.

http://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2...ack-offense/5I4fqkhNWnM739C7hxNl2O/story.html

Magadan believes batting averages will continue to plummet because hitters won’t make adjustments.
“I tell my guys all the time, you can continue trying to hit into the shift and come back and complain how much the shift is hurting you,” said Magadan, “or you stay inside a slider and take a shot the other way and get on base more.”

The question then becomes, why aren't they listening to him? That's part of the job. I believe Chili Davis would've been an upgrade. OAK hitters have been exceeding their talent level during his tenure IMO.
That was my initial reaction to the tweet. This would certainly hurt Oakland.

Do you all realize that Verlander has a contract that lasts until 2019 with the big money just now kicking in at 28 mill a year? Has a 22 mill vesting option in 2020. He still went over 200 innings this past year and his stats were good in 2014 for most pitchers but not 28 mill good going forward. And the fact he threw 186 innings in 2006 and then over 200 the last 8 years I can see where the back-end of this contract will be kicking Detroit.

Fortunately if you're a Tigers fan it's good to have an owner like Illitch doesn't care as he's willing to do whatever it takes to bring a WS championship to Detroit again.
