They have the baseballs, I just usually don't buy them because that gets expensive. I prefer to get all the sigs I can on one item if I can, just saves space and money.

Yeah you're telling me! Plus you don't have to have a cart to drag all that stuff around all day long

Any idea on where to get some photos for them to sign? I caved and got a fastpass -- and since I already have some baseballs signed (prev. years)- i'd like to get photos signed this year.

Bats are next year.

I usually take all the photos from my camera (my wife's fancy one) and then have them all printed up 8x10 and shipped to me through Shutterfly. I take those for the players to sign at FF. Its what I did for 2010 WS and got lots of good pics and autographs. If you have that option to take pictures at the ballpark that is. I realize that won't work this week, but maybe for the future or someone else that may be interested.

If you cant find them at the ballpark gift shop and you're in the metroplex, there is Field Of Dreams in the Galleria mall that has lots of the as well

Lordy Bennie.....we didn't think they were overrated when we traded them. We just thought it was the right move at the right time.

A team can't depend on trading an "overrated" player (s) and expect to get something back. And I don't think we did this then, nor do I expect us to approach it for the future.

Thought Smoak was the most overhyped prospect since Taylor Teagarden.

K-garden...... I remember when some radio show led a campaign to get the guy into the all star game as a backup catcher. They got pretty close too! it would've been so funny to see that dude get bussed from double AA Frisco to the all star game with a .065 average and 30 strikeouts in 40 or 45 at bats. I don't know his real stats, but they were God awful.

At least Ruben Mateo had that horrible leg injury as an excuse

I was at the game when his leg snapped going down the first base line.

One awful sound.

Texas Rangers No. 4 prospect has legitimate chance to pitch in top part of starting rotation | Dallas Morning News

Pretty positive article above.

First baseman Prince Fielder, shortstop Elvis Andrus and outfielder Shin-Soo Choo will earn a combined $53.25 million this season. Their combined trade value is zero. The Rangers could deal each player, if they would eat most of the contract. No savings there.

There is one other form of currency in the game: the precious commodity of prospects. The Rangers are rich there.

Boggs and Skole were also pretty overhyped.

I think most of us would be ecstatic with a return to his last year in Detroit at this point, we'll never get a return on the investment, but that's not the point now (he would've had a hard time doing so based on previous years production at that), point now is to get some production out of 1B and the middle part of the lineup

If he is healthy which I believe he will be he will be alright. He seems very focused on getting himself where he needs to be when the season begins. He can whip that bat thru the zone like nobodies business and I fully expect to see his power back.

Read this earlier this morning and it's quite encouraging.

It kind of reminds me of Martin Perez a little.

Yeah except if I remember correctly and many times I do not I was thinking that Perez would go through stretches where he would struggle and make a person wonder why they were so much in his corner. But when called up to the majors he pitched great.
