I have a feeling those two will start the year in the minors. I would say they are a year away but it is possible one of them could be called up during the year and my guess is it would be Thompson.

Absolutely. Neither need to be on the big league teams to start the season.

Ryan Dempster on mlb network said that the rangers should trade Holland for Upton. I say no way.

Sounds like he's not any better as an analyst than he was that second half, after the rangers made the trade for him.

Apparently the Red Sox have made an offer on Masterson as well.

One of the guys who works with Norm Hitzges on The Ticket said he ran into Kouzmanoff on the beach in Hawaii a few days ago and he is planning on trying to play next year. I don't believe I had heard any updates on him lately.

From what I've read Chi Chi is going to have a chance to make the big league club in ST. You guys are probably right. They probably need more seasoning.

If he earns a spot because he did so well in ST that he couldn't be sent down then so be it. If he's on the ML roster because no other moves were made and its only out of necessity that he is in the rotation, someone dropped the ball.

Robertson?

David as in closer, formerly of Yanks. Should have stated it separately probably

DR got 4 years 40 million it appears and Shark went for Semien and 2 minor league prospects

Oh yeah, I read he signed there.

Shark is looking to net the A's Marcus Semien.

Apparently some A's fans think they are still contending in 2015 after the last few months of being robbed of everything the loved.

Odor for Noah Snydergaard?
Chi Chi for Evan Gattis?

With all this sniffing, something big has to go down

Makes the signing of "fat ass country breakfast" look a bit premature. It seems someone may have asked BB what the hell he was doing and told him he better start a fire sale instead

They are dumping salary and trying to restock the farm. I get that, but pretending like they can remain competitive when they lost over 10 wins of production and got back less than half of that is silly. You cannot replace the kind of production the A's gave up with prospects and Billy Butler.

Texas has their own issues, but I cannot imagine being asked to polish that turd for a year. If Texas started trading guys like Beltre and Holland I wouldn't bother watching the 2015 campaign.

I would really have a hard time being a fan of a team that traded away fans favorite players any time they weren't favorites to contend. Going all in this summer and having a terrible second half, after giving up some of their best prospects, only to get prospects back in their salary dump and then requiring a total rebuild would suck.

It may seem that way for now but the jury will be out in a few years in regards to the minor league players they picked up.
