I cut ARod some slack for that comment because Hicks promised him it wouldn't be that way when he signed. He promised ARod that he would keep spending even after ARod got here and Hicks tightened up the purse strings instead. I don't blame ARod because Hicks lied to him.

However, since A-Rod is the most narcissistic, self serving SOB in the history of life, I'll not cut him squat.

Rod did absolutely nothing - other than playing good to excellent ball - to ingratiate the Ranger fans from the first to his last day in town.

I have nothing but ill will toward him, and CJ Wilson. Screw em both!

I think Torii probably isn't much to worry about in the clubhouse. He's most likely matured in recent years.

Good to excellent? A-Rod had the best 3 year stretch any player has ever had in a Rangers uniform. He was other worldly. I hate the guy for many reasons, but I do not hate the effort he gave in a Rangers jersey.

Said they are still looking for a RF and are looking at Hunter or Rios to possibly fill the spot. It's the difference in having budget constraints or spending money like the Dodgers and Yankees

The same reason I like Melky is the same reason I like Torii. They both give us someone to slot into the 2 spot. I'm not crazy about Torii at this stage of his career, but 1 year would be ok.

I would prefer just to go with Rua in LF and choo in RF and spend that money on pitching. How will 1 year of a 40 year old Hunter costing 10 mil or more really help the team? Are they gonna pay him cause he made friends with Fielder?

How about Rua and Torii in the OF with Choo DHing? Choo in RF is going to be a disaster. Every time someone gets a base hit to RF with a man on they'll go 1st to 3rd. He'll cost us a ton of runs over the course of the year in RF.
