Wish I had someone to root for b/c if it can't be the Rangers I just don't care. But I hope you get the tigers to root for.

It's all about rooting against the Cardinals DT

it's hard for me to root for the Rsox, but if they could magically hand the Cardinals a heartbreak, I'm all for it

Or he didn't want to negotiate mid season. That makes sense to me. I don't think I could ever tell someone "Hey let me talk to you in a few months about that" when they are willing to give me 300 million dollars.

Meh, if they are willing to go that crazy high, it's unlikely to come off the table
you're probably right, but it was a big commitment

and I think the Rsox pull it off tonight, speculation of course.

I always watch the Series and the playoffs, as much as I can...(assuming the Rangers are out, obviously I watched every game in those runs, well, almost)
if nothing else, you can learn a lot about your team from watching others, IMO

That's interesting to me, because you never hear anyone say
"I'm not watching the Superbowl because my team isn't in it"

come on baseball fans! always someone to root against

If Detroit turns around and goes to the Series. It won't be fun. At least the Sox would make it mildly interesting.

Well, I really can't wait till five days after the Series ends when we can talk to free agents, then in December for the winter meetings where we can make trades, then to pitchers and catchers meet. Hopefully we'll have a catcher by then, Lainey.

That's his story every year.

The injury part, yes, but he hasn't played as well as he was before he got hurt. I like Mitch and had high hopes for him. I believe they'll go after Napoli, but I don't think we'll be able to steal him away. That leaves us with Loney (not interested), Morneau (maybe), or Mitch.

I love to see the guy be a beast, but unfortunately...I agree with this

They may give MM another shot because essentially, he's cheap...and that allows more money for an OF and Catcher
and maybe Cruz DH

Exactly. I'm not really saying I want to give Mitch another chance, I just think they will. It all depends if we actually sign players we're interested in this off-season. Anybody think there's any interest from JD in Choo? He would be a great LF lead off hitter. That finally drops Ian down to 6th.

Just glancing at offensive stats, for the money, Morneau doesn't really to be an upgrade over Mitch

I only looked it up, because I was curious when you mentioned Morneau
