this damn draft pick compensation and absurd projected salary offers for some of these players is really putting a cramp in my armchair GM positioning. It seemed so much easier in the past

I don't think JD would sacrifice the draft pick on Morales. Choo is possible, and I wouldn't hate Granderson. Grandy would probably be less years and cheaper too

I never liked the type A type B FA designations in the past.

He also wouldn't be the on base threat choo is.

I dont want Morales if he is going to cost a pick, would not be worth it IMO. I dont want to sign Cruz at the contract he is wanting either. I would risk a pick for Granderson because we wouldn't have to give him years, prob 3 at most. Choo is the most likely fit for us, fills an OF gap, can slot him at the leadoff spot in replace of Kinsler and it gives us another left handed bat with some pop. Hopefully we wouldnt have to overpay to get him, but I think he would be the best fit for is if there is any FA we are going to sign.

Yeah that too, guess its a good thing i'm not paid for this. I probably wouldn't be employed long. While I say that I looked up JD's salary the other day and best i could find said he makes $333,000 annually which I thought was a little low. Nolan was making 6 million per year and selling his beef at the ballpark.

I never said I wanted Morales instead of Choo. I want them both. Morales to DH. I think Grandy and Morales will get 3 years. Morales is a better hitter than Granderson, just less power.

Granderson's highest AVG in the last 5 years is .262, and his OBP has been around .320.

I wouldn't mind Granderson as the option behind Choo for the OF position. He would slide into the #5 spot and give Beltre some protection.

If Texas ended up with either one as LF, then you're probably spending little on a DH. Hopefully Corey Hart or Michael Morse on a 1 year plus option year contract, Berkman style.

Listening to JD on Rangers Insider. Not into the sexy moves or making decisions that makes a team old in a hurry or straps them down and as always looks to see what positions need to be manned until someone promising in the minors will be ready 3-5 years down the road. So not sure what he has up his sleeve. But OF is still in need of some work.

I would much rather have Corey Hart. I brought him up awhile back because I hadn't heard any interest and thought it was odd.

Jd has set least one more big move up his sleeve imo.

I hope so Romeo b/c Prince alone won't be enough. Got to have one more good bat.

No doubt in my mind jd adds another bat. Frankly, is prefer two, but there's another bat. Coming in my opinion.
