Exactly, the money is what it's about.Perhaps.....but perhaps a tad too cynical.
I mean, we don't know that he isn't coming back yet. And we don't have any idea of what the Rangers have offered. Lastly, let's say for the sake of here the Rangers offered 3 years at $32 mil and the M's offered 3 for $43 mil. Which one would you take? He could truly love it here and our fans, but for 30% plus more he'll go.
Did you see that 2yr contract Kobe just signed? That one was nothing but, about money.
I am really surprised by this:
Nelson Cruz is looking for around $75 million over four years, and the Rangers are among the interested teams, according to a report by CBS' Jon Heyman.

I'll be floored if the Rangers get into this range with Cruz. FLOORED.
We are interested, but not at that price. I feel comfortable saying that. Choo might cost less than that per year.
And this breaking news: the NYY are interested in Robinson Cano, just not as his asking price.
Key words from Heyman, "looking for" and "interest."
I'm assuming Cruz is a fall back option at this point. I wouldn't go any higher than 4/56, and that's because at that point we might not have a better option. I'd rather get Choo and Morales.
He came up with some big hits last year but I am surprised that in 456 ABs he had just 18 doubles. With his power and above average speed I thought it would be more than that.
I heard that there is quite a gap between the Yankees and Cano.
I'm in for Choo and Navarro.
Still suspect JD has a trade in the making.
Without looking at any team stats, it didn't seem like anyone on the team hit many doubles last year.
Murph....they offered and he signed. Why would he sign anyway else? After all, he's only been with the Lakers since he was a teenager.
I can't imagine that there isn't a gap. He's "looking for" $310,000,000.
I think the Yanks are more in control of this situation more than most think. And he's not getting anything remotely close to 10 yrs at $310.
So you want Moreland as the DH? Who is the DH against lefties in your scenario?
haven't gotten that far just yet. seriously, but I don't see Mitch on this team come ST.
