What about moreland, luke jackson, and another above average prospect. Moreland is a very expendable player at this point, and with Price (hopefully his extension) our rotation is basically set for the future

Any significant package for price would have to be contingent on an extension.

I just looked up Perez's contract, and if we pick up all his options through 2020, he'll be owed only around $32 mil. Very friendly contract for the club. Seemed like I remember him saying he was desperate to get his family outta Venezuela, and he wanted his contract done now so he could bring them all here.

Not just no, but hell no.
Agree. I do not want to touch our rotation. Add to it but don't take away. I said earlier our pitching is not the problem. Go get the position player w/ a bat

I heard something similar to that. I can't imagine his agent being too thrilled, but Texas certainly benefitted. Very team friendly deal, assuming he continues to progress

Cruz is gonna have to come down from his contract demands. Sure looks like he doesn't want to come back to Texas.

Sad because he was forgiven by everyone and treated very nice here.

Yeah, it is really, DT. He's a good reason we didn't make the playoffs this year and he's going to capitalize on this. I wonder what was his original contract demand earlier this year that JD turned down.

I wish more players cared to win, basketball players care about winning more than money IMO

Did you see that 2yr contract Kobe just signed? That one was nothing but, about money.

You must have missed Kobe Bryant signing his latest contract keeping the Lakers from signing 2 big FA's. Dirk is going to take a paycut next off-season in order to build a better team, and that's not normal.

Nope! Money and that's all.

Perhaps.....but perhaps a tad too cynical.

I mean, we don't know that he isn't coming back yet. And we don't have any idea of what the Rangers have offered. Lastly, let's say for the sake of here the Rangers offered 3 years at $32 mil and the M's offered 3 for $43 mil. Which one would you take? He could truly love it here and our fans, but for 30% plus more he'll go.
