This works just fine.

But again, the mad scientist - one JD - may have something on his/our horizon we've never considered and will turn all of us upside down.

One thing that occurred to me is Soto's size and weight in the Texas heat on a regular basis. May be tough requiring less time behind the plate.

I don't think of Soto as an Ironman. I have no problem with him being our starting catcher, but his games will probably be about 130, give or take. Our backup/other catcher is a big, big deal IMO.

One of my bigger gripes about Washington is how he refuses to rest/rotate players. Although he was better at it last year. But it just chaps my ass this observation is so common sense based, and yet old Ron is oblivious to the obvious.

Remember Cliff Lee? How about Ellsbury being from the far NW and folks were speculating on him going to Seattle. I guess he could still do that, but the speculation isn't leading in that direction.

Found it very odd that just before the biggest payday in his life Cano turns to Jay-Z to negotiate for him? Maybe he will hire Miley next to do his taxes?

I'm going to take a stab at it and guess he'll sign for 8 years and 190 million.

Of course. That being said if things are close to to equal and he's getting a Mets offer he'll likely weigh on that much more favorably than other places.

Plus Cliff Lee wasn't from here. Granted it wouldn't have made a difference because apparently he absolutely loved it in Philly but he's from Arkansas and that's where he spends his off season supposedly.
