Keith Law says McCann is an absolutely terrible thrower. I didn't know this, and certainly won't miss his lack of arm.

I got spoiled watching Sunny and Pudge perhaps.

It won't be long before we're spoiled by Alfaro and his cannon. Pudge needs to work with him on his footwork a little, but he throws runners out on all arm right now. It's fun to watch.

Nope. They have this meeting thing or something though so he has to fly out of town for 5 days. They are gonna regroup there and I'm sure they'll discuss what should come next

I could not believe Baylor was not better prepared. However, they got beat by a very good team.

It's ironic to me that I enjoy the CBS coverage of the NFL, but can't stand their college work.

He might, but I don't see it happening. One issuing teams get a good bit of film on him it will get a lot tougher.

He might, but I don't see it happening. One issuing teams get a good bit of film on him it will get a lot tougher.

And it may not take much film. He looks so raw, and is damn fortunate to have this opportunity.

Hitting wise, Alfaro would struggle but would probably be better than a lot of catchers already in the league, he needs to mostly work on his plate discipline

Like you said above, defense is what going to hold him back, he is terrible at blocking balls, he makes AJP look like Pudge back there

I think the number I saw was 28 passed balls, not to mention the numbers of wild pitches he wasn't able to get to

I also believe he had error issues as well

Hopefully Pudge can teach what he knows to this kid

Good move for the cards by getting Jhonny peralta
