This is why I love hockey. This video is worth watching. Holy shit
I doubt Ross gets much of a look due to Holland, Harrison, & Perez already locked into SP gigs already
Injuries have a way of changing things though
I'd love to get a solid year out of Lewis though
She's factoring in the dumping of Kinsler's contract in that, she's saying we're getting Fielder for essentially 10 million more a year than we were paying Kinsler
We're not going all in to win now, this is a 3-4 year window now
I think the Choo signing means they're going for it now. Go for it while Beltre and Darvish are world beaters

HEY Oakland, we're back bitches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes. thanks!!Hey DT....here's some more info for ya regarding state income taxes.
Choo, in turn, viewed the Rangers as his “clear first choice,” according to a source familiar with his thinking. That preference would explain why he declined to pursue a potential $140 million guarantee with the Yankees; the lack of state tax in Texas makes the Rangers’ deal more lucrative, anyway.
This one from Ken Rosenthal.
I figured that. But, we are still paying Fielder close to 20mm...same w Choo. Also, that 10mm difference grows each year bc of Kinsler's decreasing salary.
right, but on average it's still roughly 10 mil/year for Fielder
just to show what we actually added to the budget for a 7 year span
I hope to God jd wouldn't let that happen.
Are you subtracting Ian's salary dump to get that number?
I would think you would like Fielder and his ability to get on base in front of Beltre, and then Beltre's ability to make contact and not strike out (only 74 last year) at 4, seems like Beltre could get a lot of sac flies and other non-hit RBI chances in this set up, and Fielder could also clear the bases in adavance with one swing too
Another stat I saw, the Rangers had the best record in the majors when they scored first, which is a testament to our pitching, but the problem was, we only scored first 76 times, all the playoff teams did it 86+ times, Choo, Andrus, Fielder & Beltre are going to do A LOT to help change that next year
The best thing about these additions is jd and company managed to significantly upgrade our offense without touching our pitching or our top prospects. That's dinky usually not done when you upgrade at the level Texas did. They have really put themselves in a good position.
I crack up that still on ESPN/Facebook there are random morons that know very little about the sport saying that Texas still needs better pitching to compete in the AL.
Yikes....
