Spurs keep losing at Utah over and over. That is one of their achilles heels
Its been a nightmare for them in the last 10 years (including TWICE this season to a mediocre Jazz squad)

it is compounded by the overall "meh" malaise of 2015.
They had razor sharp focus after losing game 6 in 2013 providing insane motivation.

After winning, all those super bench guys like Mills, Splitter, Bellinelli, and Diaw are seemingly less interested.
Diaw has especially morphed back into the chubby and lazy Diaw of Atlanta.
No other player on the roster has seemingly lost it more than Diaw as a vital cog.

There is about 20 games or so left for Pop to get them back in focus...and get Diaw away from the buffet.
Timmy, Manu, and Tony are still playing hard. There is no excuse for the younger bench to mail it in.

The Philly shenanigans continue.

They claim Robinson off waivers, ruining his signing with Brooklyn.

Yes, gets them over the tax floor.

But, they added another near 7 footer to go along with Embiid, McGee and Noel.

I really hope they win the draft lottery and select Okafor or Towns.

They'd have a near 7 footer for every position:gaah:.

How is this any different from Kahn and his collection of * the wrong *pg's in Minny?

Fire this clown already:hope:.

maybe thats the reason the Spurs have never gone back to back....as great as they have been....

just of of curiosity- how much longer do you think Pop and Dunc are there? Next season will they beback? the season after?----does Ginobili go out the same year as Duncan does? ( personally I think so)....

I'm curious to get the opinion on these things from someone that follows them closely

they are really in it for the long haul....I think he has 2 more years AFTER this one before he is in danger of being fired....which is kinda stupid....

from what i have heard Embiid is acting like a clown, is over weight, and has really not done the work asked of him......Noel looks solid- but how many PF's in the NBA cant shoot at all now a days? to match that with a center that cant really shoot is pretty rough....

they dont have one guard that is any good beside Covington.....Saric might not come over for a long time....

i thought the Cavs did a mediocre job with their picks (besides THE KI of course)....the Sixers might not get much of anything outta these guys- Ill take TT over Noel anyday....

Pop seems to believe Timmy will play at least one more season. But who knows?

Timmy is actually having one of his better seasons very quietly, especially on the defensive end.
He is probably going to win DPOY. I doubt he leaves with his defensive game at least in peak level.

Manu depends on the supporting cast. The SPURS will have some cash to burn in the offseason and next.

Marc Gasol seems like a 50/50 shot from the buzz...and Aldridge is probably 50/50 to go to Texas.
Although LA might lean towards Dallas or Houston first. He wants to be in Texas somewhere.

Manu stays if they cannot sign a big Free Agent. He is likely gone if they can sign someone.
I don't think Manu is tied together like Pop/Timmy.

Did you see the rumor that they were open to trading Embiid for a 2015 first rounder?

So, he may really be doing the Bozo thing.

I'm actually rooting for him to succeed because he seems like a fun-spirited kid.

But, that doesn't mean he will pan out on the court.

I can't see rhyme nor reason for the moves that Philly is making.

Maybe Hinkie is some mad analytics scientist and that I'm the one who doesn't get it?

He did graduate summa cum laude from Oklahoma and Stanford. So, that's certainly possible.

The Philadelphia 76ers were trying to trade up for a top pick in the 2015 NBA Draft and indicated a willingness to discuss Joel Embiid or any player on their team, an NBA source told Forbes.com's Mark Heisler.

While the souce is unnamed, Heisler has long covered Phil Jackson, and the New York Knicks will have one of the top selections in the draft. Heisler also has close connections to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Embiid was drafted third overall last June and has been out for the entire season following surgery on a broken bone in his right foot.

CAVS are getting all the breaks and looking scary

Can Lebron get to 5 straight finals?

I think its about 80% likely now.

I didn't say win the Finals. I said 80% likely to get there. (BARRING CATASTROPHIC INJURY)

Forget the seeds lower than 4, no offense to Milwaukee, Miami, Washington, or Brooklyn....but they are flawed teams that are not winning the east

That essentially leaves Cleveland, Chicago, Toronto, and Atlanta.
Chicago was the only battle tested bunch....but without Rose, they dont have enough horses.

Toronto has zero star power, and likely wont even have homecourt vs Cleveland.
That really leaves my own pick, Atlanta.....but the playoff star system gives me confidence with them either.

I will ride Atlanta, as I picked them before season start....But I dont see anyone beating a healthy Clev in the East.

Remember Cleveland went 1-10 without Lebron.
They are a blistering 35-12 with Lebron (only a 61 win pace projected)

Who is Ajinca?

No Anthony Davis-AND no Ryan Anderson- and this Ajinca- is 9/10 from the field- goes out and beats the Heat with a bucket inside 30 seconds to go- andthen Dwade settles for a 3 and bricks it- AFTEr Dragic has been really hot all night?.Deng shot great all night- heck thebackup shooting guard outplayed Wade...The Pelicans SG tore shit up too...

Whiteside gets blocks- for sure- but it does not appear he is a great 1 on 1 defender....

Norris Cole had the worst "revenge game" ever, lol...0/10?? LOL

It looks like Luol Deng keeps trucking along with his super-efficient season....hes lost a step defensively and is not quite the playmaker he used to be- but ill tell ya-- hes shooting a ridiculous 49.5% from the field, and 39% from 3 (all though he takes less than 3 3's a game). That is super efficient. I give Deng a lot of credit.

Wade by month- he has missed a total of 17 games this year.
November 8 games, 32.5 minutes 52.4% FGA 20.5 pts 4.0rebounds 6.6 assists
December 16 games 33.6 minutes 50.3% FGA 24.7 pts 3.8 rebounds 5.3 assists
January 10 games 30.1 minutes 42.4% FGA 17.0 pts 3.9 rebounds 4.8 assists
February 5 games 28.4 minutes 35.8% FGA 15.6 pts 3.4 rebounds 4.6 assists

anyone see a trend developing?

Udonis Haslem is in ShawnMarion territory....they are both playing in their last season- and neither one can do anything offensively anymore.

I seriously cannot believe Mathew Dellevadova shot the ball 18 times in an NBA game. That is just insanely awful. Mozgov didnt play great- and Perkins unsurpsignly failed to score.

With Marion seriously declining and now dealing with a hip issue- the Cavs really dont have a backup 3......just bron bronpretty much....

David West could really help a contender- and I really really like CJ Miles as a bench wing player.....

CJ Miles would be a GREAAAAAAAAAAAAT bench big...so much respect for this guy.

Shit man, Okc down 3 starters last night and almost pulled the upset on the road in Portland. Westbrook with yet another triple double and 40 pts. He needs help, need to get healthy!
