JB like most coaches......give him talent he can win. Don't and he wont.
I don't agree. JB did some great things but he could only do so much with this roster based on his knowledge. Doc had a ton of talented teams and fails. Atkinson has the same roster except Jerome is healthy and Strus is hurt. The pace, ball movement and gameplan is completely different on offense. Talent only gets you so far, coaching matters. There are many clear differences with this team this season from the last couple seasons with the same players. Is 12 games enough? Watching the games I can see a clear difference. It doesn't mean they can still beat the C's or win the title but the offense is running more efficiently for a reason. Using the players to their strengths.

I guess Philly starts slow a lot then comes on later so that could happen. Maybe Bucks could IF Middleton ever returns. But does seem like they made deals for name guys without thinking about fit.

Even if Philly squeaks into the playoffs, does anyone really have faith in Embiid in the playoffs (availability/injury wise) or Playoff Peed?

Bucks have to do something to prevent Freak's narrative to shift from "they might trade me" to "I want out".

Show up, play lazy, get paid.

There are too many games.

There are consequences for the decisions they make. No waving it away. No hiding from it. They don't play 200 games, they don't play double headers like AAU. They could but they don't because it's a business decision. A business decision with the accompanying consequences. If they don't need 200 then they don't need 80. They need how ever many games these guys will play hard for to maximize the product to the fans.

If you want balanced schedules, that's at least 58 games (with that number to jump to 62 with the inevitable 2 team expansion coming), and that's just home/away once vs everyone. Add in more games vs your conference, then more against your division and the amount you can cut dwindles.

If you want to keep the big TV contracts, you can't cut games.

Was just wondering if it was just me. Nope. Many people feel odd turning 50. Can't even explain it.

For me it was more about the Covid year than actually turning 50. Covid distracted me away from that.

They definitely look a lot better on offense but this team was amazing to start the Mitchell Era, going 8-1 and also had an 18-2 stretch without 2 starters for much of it AND other key reserves. Having Jerome is huge as he's a true backup PG, as well.

let me ask you this.....we can go into the playoffs this season completely healthy and JB as coach or same injury issues as last season and Atkinson. Which scenario do you choose? easy choice for me. JB and health.

FYI.....none of this is to say I'd want JB back. But guy is getting a raw deal by so many. Improving every season in a rebuild with no cap room not exactly easy. Oh, and he also took them from a disaster on D to elite.

Jerome’s massive leap forward after being discarded by multiple teams is definitely not talked about enough right now

Doc overachieved with Philly, and the Celtics the year kg got hurt (took the eventual EC champs to 7 games without KG when even Lebron didn’t get to a game 7)

CLe can absolutely beat the Celtics in a series, even if not the most likely outcome

Will come down to how well the wings play

Boston is just a difficult matchup for them due to how much 5 out they can play to negate Mobley and Allen’s rim protection

He's been huge for sure.....Cannot recall who it was, but there was a national guy who said he could be an under the radar move when we got him (before he missed the season of course).

Obviously does not mean we would beat them but did seem like even without Allen then Mitchell (and Wade then Levert) the Cavs played them as well or better than anyone in playoffs last year.

...or the ever-popular Ben Simmons!

Ingram/McCollum for Simmons/Johnson?

The mccollum extension costing them Ingram is rough.

I’d be trying to turn mccollum into Stewart from Detroit

Attach a first if need be

I made a true statement no one gives a shit. Butthurt would be wrong anyway, I have no issues related to Harden and the Thunder that was a long time ago. I don’t like the sob though, me and a lot of people. So you can shove your butthurt, I assume you know where.

LOL. I'll come right out and say it; I hate Harden. Trash ref-baiter.
