The Brooklyn Nets are surprisingly competitive. Sean Marks has done a good job following the KD/Irving clusterfuck.....

Having said all that he might want to consider being sellers at the deadline and deal DFS and Schroder to go all in on the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes in the next NBA draft.....they have a shit ton of cap space. They could add Flagg (or another good player in a really good draft) and some veterans and have a quick turnaround next season if they make the right decisions.

They can get Ingram if they want unless someone trades for him

Is that the right move for them though? I say build through the draft then try to lure a FA down the road

I won big on the Texas vs Florida game.....paid out in error and I am playing it forward.....setting up bets in the BE and gonna forfeit them to anybody a little low on Hoop cash....

Nah.

They need to tank after the trading deadline and stockpile picks.....they will have 4 1st rounders in the '25 draft.....if they don't land a top 3 pick.....they can package 2 1st rounders to get into the top 3 and still have 2 more 1st rounders.....heck, they could make 2 trades and get 2 top 3-5 picks.....

Plus, have a shit ton of cap space to add some veterans.

They definitely need to do this or trade out of a pick for a future first

As we saw with the rockets, you can’t develop that many people at once

They only have like 6-7 players under contract for next season.

They should be selling to get future picks

They have enough now and should move up when possible here

Build around one of the top 5 guys this year and they have cap space to either get more picks or land their first block (Ingram)

If they get Flagg they maybe make an Ingram move. Other than that you probably wait

With that amount of cap space, If you aren’t signing a max guy you can get a ton of picks eating other peoples stuff

The pistons and hornets got a bunch of picks for eating contracts to fill spots

I think they should be trading up (if they don't get the #1 pick) to get say Flagg and another guy.....let's say they trade DFS and Schroder.....that leaves the Nets with....

Cam Johnson
Claxton
Thomas (if the Nets opt to exercise it)
Clowney (if the Nets opt to exercise it)
Whitehead (if the Nets opt to exercise it)
Milton
Johnson
Wilson (if the Nets opt to exercise it)
Flagg
other youngster

That's 10 players. You need 4-5 to fill out a squad.....

Then do what SA did.....add solid role players like Barnes and CP next offseason. To mentor the youngsters and show them how to be professionals. Maybe 1 big fish in FA.

Trading both cams should be on the table

Soooooooooooo butthurt.
I made a true statement no one gives a shit. Butthurt would be wrong anyway, I have no issues related to Harden and the Thunder that was a long time ago. I don’t like the sob though, me and a lot of people. So you can shove your butthurt, I assume you know where.

I thought Bickerstaff was extremely mediocre- but this is a pretty wild start. 12-0

also are the only team to have played 12 games too.
JB like most coaches......give him talent he can win. Don't and he wont.

Of course Bickerstaff was holding the Cavs back.
Guy nothing special but gets a raw deal from so many. Team improved every season under him. Love what we've seen so far but is Atkinson really some guru when he came in with a 118-190 overall record?
