Watching Atlanta play the Heat, and I just gotta say that Hassan Whiteside is a beast on the boards. I can see why Heat fans like this guy so much.

Whiteside is a beast and really has turned into one of the premier rebounders in the league. He is also one of the best shot blockers in the league.

It is pretty much without precedent what he is doing. The best comp. i can think of is Ben Wallace- and the dude won like what? 3 DPOY awards?

His career could go any direction and it would not surprise me at this point.

Hopefully for the Lakers sake they dont win TOO many games......all though im sure its refreshing to see them actually play some good basketball.

I hated that with the Cavs the last couple years- having to reconcile wanting them to have the best draft position possible- while at the same time really wanting them to win games while I was watching them....

I hope McGee goes to the Warriors or the Mavs.

He would be perfect as insurance for Bogut/Howard.

Cavs should have waited and not wasted a roster spot on Shrek Perkins.

They were 7-8 or 8-7 entering the game against Boston in their last 15 road games which means now they're either 8-9 or 9-8 in their last 17 road games

Wiggins has been nasty.

There is a reason that this draft was so highly regarded for so many months before it happened- way back when no one even really heard of Embiid.

Wiggins and Parker are studs- and studs that play the 3- which typically is the position where dominant guys in the NBA play....

I forget who- but someone was making a point that teams rarely win with dominant point guards- or a point guard as their best player- thats true.....

Id say teams win the most of the time with an outstanding wing as their best player....

id maybe so center but those days are probably over.....

Parker and Wiggins i think are the real deal.......

a lot of other guys in last years draft have a chance to be very good- Smart, Randle, I actually really like Saric once he comes over- i wouldve sworn Embiid at one point but the reports are bad....

but the 2 guys i always really liked going months back were parker and wiggins...

looking at past drafts- when really elite guys come around they mostly hit...

coming up to the draft- the following guys were all really hyped- Durant, Oden, Rose, Wall, Davis, Griffin- and then Wiggins and Parker---.....Kyrie was hyped- but he wasnt over the top like those other guys....

more often then not- when you are are hyped big time- and end up going really high- you turn out pretty awesome....of course Oden is the exception on that list....

Hawks now 3-1 against Cleveland. Up until tonight, I had been concerned about the quality of play as of late. They had a five game winning streak coming into tonight, but it wasn't a pretty streak for the most part. The Hawks are continuing to pad their lead in the East.
