I never dissed Spielman one bit! He's one of the best two or three LBs we've ever had, not to mention the Lions all-time leading tackler (since they started recording tackles, anyhow).

What I said is that he hasn't played for us in going on 20 years and that you can't hold the current players to his standard of greatness. You talk about how much our players suck all the time, but when constantly being compared to one of our best ever it's no wonder you think they all suck...

Maybe just maybe we signed him because we knew Delmas was damaged goods? Imo Imho. Just Maybe....I'm wrong alot, but then again I predicted the Lions to be 7-9 and you predicted 9-7.

Might want to rethink that before game one.

Obviously we did sign Quin, so clearly his statement is inaccurate, which is what those replies from thruthefog and myself were in response to. Also, if Delmas goes down again, Don Carey is the next guy up, and he played pretty decent football for us last year.

That's why this negative crap pisses me off so much- because you whiny bitches don't even know what you're talking about. You just make up a quick opinion and fill in the (considerable) gaps in your knowledge bank with things you make up.

For what it's worth I'm not sure I've ever quoted the Free Press... they're not exactly the most accurate source of Lions news out there. They do much more op-ed than reporting. Just another example of you making inaccurate generalizations, but that's pretty old news around here...
