It's official, I want the two dumbest receivers in this class to be in a niners uni:

Tavon Austin - WR - Mountaineers

West Virginia WR Tavon Austin scored a seven on the Wonderlic, according to Packers beat writer Bob McGinn.

The number is low, but "the majority of scouts expect (Austin) to learn a playbook without a major hitch," McGinn writes. "He's not a quick study and it will take him a little time," one personnel director said. "He will work at it. He cares greatly about it." We doubt this affects his evaluation.

Tyler Eifert - TE - Fighting Irish

NFL Network's Charley Casserly would not select Notre Dame TE Tyler Eifert in the top-15.

Casserly does consider Eifert as this class' top tight end, but has his worries. "I don't see the blocking ability or the true speed," he said. "He's more of a build-up speed guy. I like him in the second-half, the later part of the first round, not the top part of the first round. Solid player."

Dee Milliner - DB - Crimson Tide

The Browns are "looking hard" at Alabama CB Dee Milliner at pick No. 6, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.

La Canfora also notes the Dolphins are very high on Milliner. There's a chance the Browns could trade out of the sixth pick and still land Milliner, like at pick No. 11, but corners are always in heavy demand. The depth of this year's class at the position could cause some teams to wait, however.

The Journal Sentinel asked 16 personnel people to list their top five wide receivers and top four tight ends. At wide receiver, a first-place vote was worth five points, a second was worth four and so on.

Patterson (seven firsts) led with 62 points, followed by Austin, 60 (six firsts); Allen, 40 (one first); Woods, 25; DeAndre Hopkins, 24 (one first); Hunter, 16; Terrance Williams, five; and Stedman Bailey and Quinton Patton, each four.

Justin Hunter, Patterson's teammate, scored just 12, but scouts consider him less of a risk mentally.

It's looking bad for Hunter. I still cannot believe some fans would be happy with that pick at #31

Star Lotulelei - DL - Utes

Utah DL Star Lotulelei, Alabama G Chance Warmack, and Alabama T DJ Fluker have been mentioned to NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah in association with the Cardinals at pick No. 7.

Johnathan Franklin - RB - Player

CBS' Jason La Canfora expects UCLA RB Johnathan Franklin to be the first running back drafted.

Eddie Lacy's mediocre pre-draft workout and sluggish 40-yard dash times have his stock slipping. Franklin was extremely productive at UCLA, ripping off 1,734 rushing yards on 282 carries (6.14 YPC) with 13 touchdowns and adding 33 catches for 323 yards with two more scores. At 5'10/205, he was clocked at 4.49 at the Combine. La Canfora says the Jets and Steelers are among the teams looking at Franklin.

Lane Johnson to Philly at No. 4?
April, 18, 2013 12:51PM ET
By Tim Kavanagh | ESPN.com

For a team going through the first season with a new coaching staff, we're going to continue to see some roster churn for the Philadelphia Eagles. They were active in the early portion of free agency, though their signings weren't of the marquee variety -- as it was two offseasons ago with the alleged "Dream Team." Given what the club was able to do with their veteran signings, there aren't any glaring needs for them in the draft, which means they are one of the teams on which we're keeping an eye for a trade-down in Round 1. But if they stay at No. 4, there is a definite possibility the pick will be used on an OT.

Furthermore, there are some who believe that this OT in question will be Lane Johnson, including Johnson himself.

"It's a good possibility," Johnson said on Wednesday during a phone interview of the chances of being taken fourth overall, per the Philadelphia Inquirer. "What they're going to do offensively really fits what I excel at -- up-tempo, zone offense. But you never know what's going to happen come draft day."

The Eagles have visited with Johnson as well as the other top OT prospects -- Luke Joeckel and Eric Fisher -- and if one of them is selected, they could slot right in as a starter (likely at RT, with Jason Peters sticking at LT). In this scenario, Todd Herremans would kick back inside to guard.

If the Eagles wind up trading back in the first round, the selection of Johnson becomes more likely (depending upon how far back they go). And even if he's off the board by the time they're on the clock in this hypothetical, they could use their first pick on an OT from the second-tier of prospects (including D.J. Fluker, Menelik Watson and Justin Pugh).

E.J. Manuel - QB - Player

Florida State QB E.J. Manuel told the Dan Patrick Show that he believes the Jets, Bills, and Eagles are the three teams most interested in him.

As ESPN blogger Paul Kuharsky points out, draft prospects are often shocked by the teams that draft them. So Manuel's current line of thinking doesn't necessarily mean anything. Rotoworld draft wiz Josh Norris has predicted two QBs will be selected in the first round: Geno Smith and Ryan Nassib. Norris allowed that if a third QB were to crack the top 32, he'd expect it to be

Lane Johnson - T - Player

Speaking on his pre-draft conference call, NFL Network's Mike Mayock said he doesn't envision any of the top three offensive tackles making it to the Cardinals at No. 7.

Texas A&M's Luke Joeckel is fully expected to be the No. 1 overall pick to the Chiefs, and Central Michigan's Eric Fisher could go anywhere in the top-five. Mayock mentioned the Eagles as a potential landing spot for Oklahoma's Lane Johnson. Johnson fits the mold for coach Chip Kelly's offense as a supremely athletic lineman. The Cardinals could look at one of the top guards at No. 7 overall.

Sharrif Floyd - DL - Gators

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah ranks Florida DL Sharrif Floyd as the third best prospect in this class.

"Floyd is an explosive and disruptive interior defensive lineman," Jeremiah writes. "He is ideally suited to play the 3-technique for a 4-3 team. He has an incredible motor and I expect him to make an immediate impact on all three downs." Floyd checks in one spot ahead of Lotulelei in Jeremiah's rankings.

Tavon Austin - WR - Player

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports West Virginia WR Tavon Austin scored a seven on his Wonderlic Test at the Combine.

The Journal-Sentinel's Bob McGinn has exclusive access to Wonderlic scores each year, and he reveals them for some top wide receivers at the linked article below. Tennessee's Cordarrelle Patterson registered an 11 out of 50. College teammate Justin Hunter scored a 12. Keenan Allen (19) and Robert Woods (23) were much better. Ultimately, Wonderlic scores have zero correlation to NFL success. Troy Williamson scored a 21, while A.J. Green scored a 10. Redskins busts Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly both scored in the 20s.

Dee Milliner - DB - Player

Speaking on his pre-draft conference call, NFL Network's Mike Mayock said he doesn't think a cornerback will be picked in the top ten.

Alabama's Dee Milliner has been the only name floated as a top-ten pick in mock drafts, possibly as high as No. 2 to the Jaguars or No. 6 to the Browns. NFL teams are not as high on Milliner as the draftnik community. The Dolphins hold the 12th pick and are said to be "very high" on Milliner. It's a legitimate possibility that he will still be available there. Meanwhile, Mayock has vaulted Houston's D.J. Hayden ahead of Milliner as his No. 1 corner in the draft.

The more tackles and QBs that gets drafted in the top 15-20, the better it is for us:

D.J. Fluker - T - Crimson Tide

CBS Sports' Jason la Canfora could be selected before Miami picks at No. 12.

I've been saying for a long time that he's one of the best players ranked in the 20's. Dude's a beast.

Justin Hunter - WR - Volunteers

The Sideline View's Lance Zierlein is "beginning to hear drums beating for Tennessee's Justin Hunter" as the first WR off the board.

"Hunter has some major issues (with) drops, but his upper echelon traits (and) projectable talent will have him drafted either before or after Tavon," Zierlein tweeted. Hunter isn't AJ Green, but he has a few similar traits and a team could dream about unleashing his talent once overcoming mental lapses.

'1st WR off the board' seems odd to me, cause the main thing a WR does is catch the ball. here it is well known he has "major issue with drops", MAJOR issues. can all the other good qualities overcome drops?

if a WR drops the pass, does it matter he was 5 yards open? does it matter he could've taken it to the house? does it matter he had ball awareness and outleaped the CB?

if a WR couldn't improve "mental lapses" by the time he's finished with college, will it improve in the NFL? the NFL CAN improve players, but will it be enough to justify "1st WR off the board"?

if i was a team looking for a WR mid round 1, i'd rather take someone with better hands. he might not be as athletic, but he'll gain yards.

John Jenkins - DL - Bulldogs

National Football Post's Russ Lande writes that Georgia NT John Jenkins is overrated.

"Overall, I have no doubt that Jenkins has legitimate first round talent for a nose tackle, but his lack of consistency and production would keep me from drafting him that high. I think he would be a great fourth round pick and a decent risk in the third round, but anything higher than that would be a huge reach in my opinion." Jenkins has evaluators split on his talent and potential but could still end up being a day two selection.

Travis Frederick - C - Badgers

National Football Post's Russ Lande writes that Wisconsin C Travis Frederick has the tools to be a starting center.

"An added bonus is that unlike many center prospects who enter the NFL as "center only" prospects, Frederick has the size, playing strength, good athleticism and experience playing guard (He started in 2011 at guard alongside center Peter Konz) to be viewed as a center/guard prospect who can start at either spot in the NFL," Lande writes. "Overall, I believe that Frederick’s selection will not get much publicity and may even be criticized due to his poor 40 time, but two years from now when he is a good starting center or guard in the NFL he will start to receive the positive publicity his on field play has always warranted."
