2 or 3 names?

Question for everyone with strong draft opinions:

Based on where most people are projecting them now, what are 2 or 3 names you'll be screaming on draft day? Maybe you love a guy in the 5th or want the team to trade up to 15? Doesn't matter. No explanation needed; just throw some names out there. Mine won't be any surprise.

Bray - 2nd-3rd
Hankins - 2nd
Trevardo Williams - 4th - 5th

Eddie Lacy

DeAndre Hopkins

John Simon, Malliciah Goodman

Johnathan Hankins, Kawann Short, Jesse Williams, Brandon Williams

Trevardo Williams, Corey Lemonier, Nathan Williams

Darius Slay, Brandon McGee (character questions pending), Johnny Adams

Eric Reid, Jonathan Cyprien, Matt Elam (character questions pending), D.J. Swearinger, Jahleel Addae

As I got to the end of this I started to really put some thought into it and became more into the question. There are quite a few more names I could include and even more if we threw need out the window, too.

This is really hard for me to do because there are a lot of names I like, but here it goes.

Travis Kelce TE Cincinnati (one of, if not the best blocking TEs in the draft and he was also productive...8 TDs.)

Jonathan Cyprien S Florida International (could play FS or SS at a very high level imho)

Tyrann Mathieu DB LSU (there is a risk here, but the "honeybadger" has off the charts instincts and he can return kicks...would be a fantastic nickle corner)

Random note: Chris Harper WR Kansas State WAS on this list before the Anquan Boldin trade. He's the closest player to Boldin I've ever seen and I really like his game, just doesn't seem necessary to add him now that we have Boldin.

If you had to pick just a few favourites from this list, as far as bang for yer buck goes, who would they be?

By the way, Carradine was tops on my list 'til people came to their senses and realized he should be a top 20 pick (I think he should be top 10).

I am hoping somewhat unrealistically for Vacaro or Millner I like Vacaro almost as much as Earl Thomas. Love Minter from LSU but the Niners don't have a need for him. Eric Reid is another player I would love to have. Okafor I think could be an absolute beast for us and could be there in the second round. I admit I am more focused on defense because I think the Niners are solid enough offensively.

agree with "focused on defense".

first three of four picks, or at very least first two of three. prefer DL first to help with pressure (even indirectly helps), but starting with a DB is fine too.

I actually DO think they draft WR within the first three rounds. Boldin isn't young, Crabtree is up for a HUGE payday, Jenkins hasn't shown anything (as of yet), Kyle Williams is coming off of injury along with Manningham, whose deal is up at the end of the season. After this season, only Williams, Jenkins, and Crabtree are under contract.

yeah, does look like they'll draft a WR and i'll say within the first four picks? but it MIGHT also be a TE first, then WR later? the later we pick WR, obviously the less 'complete', but thats ok.

its ok because in this draft - in the bigger picture - we should lean defense. we'll look for a WR better at 'long range' routes, obviously Crabtree and Boldin got the 'shorter' stuff covered.

You don't think he'd be better off in a 4-3? I do.

I'm not as interested in Moore, Okafor & Montgomery because I think they're 4-3 guys.

So the first TE picked in that scenario is Ertz with our first 2nd round pick. Eifert went to the Giants 15 picks later.

I noticed that. Apparently Clyde is working for bleacherreport now. :)

That's a terrible mock. Niners take three WRs and two TEs, and don't touch DL/OLBs until the late 5th. I'd be furious if that's how it went down.

So would I. I don't think they were paying much attention to team needs when they made that mock.

The more I look at it, I see some pretty interesting things. I'm sure some on this board would agree! Johnathan Hankins to the Vikings in the 3rd, for example. That would be a bit of a slide, to say the least. I know Pozz is a fan, and Sick too maybe? I can't keep everyone's draft crushes straight.

Marcus Lattimore is a pretty frequent selection to us, with all our picks and depth at RB. I'd prefer it be a day 3 pick though, instead of in the 3rd round like this mock projects. I was a huge fan of his since high school. The injuries are a damn shame.

After picking Goodwin, Lattimore and Matt Scott, I wouldn't understand picking Denard Robinson. What would his role possibly be? A project at corner?

Mr. Cooper would be a tempting trade up at 20. But if that's how it all went down, the Niners would be dumb to pass on Tank Carradine (or the next Justin Smith as I like to call him).

With that set up you could take Tank in the 1st and Ertz in the second.

Is that Keith or David's boy?
