"Blah blah blah, I have no clue what I'm talking about, you think Pete Rose is better than Barry Bonds blah blah blah"

That is basically the comparison you made dumbass. Bo to Koufax. GTFO out of here little boy :pound:

Koufax was great for 6 seasons. He would have been great for longer if not for the injury. He had raw potential. Bo Jackson too had raw potential. Are you denying any of this?

Uhh no you compare a HOF legend to a scrub. I dont care about ability bc in this circumstance it is a horrible example. Horrible lmao

Holy shit talk about an over-exaggeration. Koufax is comparable to Bo Jackson who never did much in his career whole Koufax dominated for most of his decade and had 3 CY Youngs. Do your research some more there
He can't comprehend any of what you're saying. The child is 19 years old, has admitted that he never made it past JV, and somehow, becasue he boned up on xFIP, he thinks he is Casey Stengel

Bo Jackson had 5 seasons with ~225 PA's with a wRC+ of 107 or higher, 4 with ~450 PA, and 2 with 121 wRC+ and 140 in ~450 PA. And that's what he ACTUALLY did. Scrub. You might be dumber than UK.

The comparison was that both players were raw athletes who could have been among the greatest of all times at their positions, but through various reasons were not. Obviously, Koufax came closer to achieving that greatness, but the comparison still stands.

You laugh at wins, but then cite Cy Young's as a way to measure pitcher's success?:L

And another one who uses Cy Young's to measure a pitcher's success!

Am I talking to kindergarteners?

We aren't talking fan voted all star, we are talking the highest honor a pitcher can receive...and he won 3 of 4 before retiring at age THIRTY..without sticking a needle up his ass. Really kid, read a book, or better yet, watch a game sometime

We've already established that I watch far more baseball than you. And though not my forte, I've read some 25-30 adult books written about baseball.

Let me dumb it down for you.

The Cy Young is awarded by the BBWAA, a pretentious group of jerks who (understandably at the time, not so much today) know nothing of advanced statistics. ~80% of them today base their decisions off of wins, losses, ERA, maybe saves, and maybe WHIP. That number approached 100% in the '60s. The writers are also known to hold grudges against certain players, and not vote for someone if they're really good and won the award before (Barry Bonds, Ted Williams), or if they are a surly jerk (Albert Belle, Mike Piazza).

Do you see how it could be problematic if you used just awards to decide who is the best pitcher? Ironically, you are doing what you (mistakenly) accuse me of doing: just reading some other person's work and using them to think for you and tell you who is the best. You have the ballot, I have a lot of statistics. The difference is my statistics are rooted in objective facts and logic, while your method of choosing the best player uses emotion and feeling. Pretty gay for a Texas tough guy such as yourself.

Also, you mention steroids. That's funny, especially coming from you. Any baseball history fan knows that Koufax's left arm ailed him. Koufax admitted, after retiring, that he was often "half-high" on the mound from the drugs he injected into his ailing left arm. Let Steroids Into the Hall of Fame

You sir, are a grade-A jackass and dumb ass. Please refute anything I said, without using your catchphrase "JV."

Please find an example of a 10 year outfielder with 1100 RBIs being inducted into the HOF.
Experience and observation comes in handy from time to time.

Ralph Kiner.

Next question.

And why are you posting under an alt account, @TeddyJackEddy ?

I'm sure a dumbfuck that compares Koufax to Bo would laugh like a baby rubbing poop on his face
Gonna respond to my post? Like when you claimed Koufax never used PED's, but he did? Oh, this is rich.

You clearly don't follow HOF voting.
Trout has all of 501 RBIs, he'll need between 1600 and 1700 to be first ballot and at least 1550 to have a real shot.
He will get there if he keeps producing for another 12 years at a star level.
I just saw this quote. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Koufax is not the best lefty ever, not close. And I was half-expecting you to say Nolan Ryan.
Wouldn't put it past him. Those no-hitters were amazing!

Are you comparing Bo Jackson and Sandy Koufax!?!

Bo wasn't even great before he got hurt.

That's a horrible comparison.

Goodness gracious. I'm not saying that Jackson had as good a career as Koufax. I'm saying they both had raw and greater potential than their careers realized. How hard is this really?
