Raw numbers are too era-dependent

but rankings are not... and special seasons are special no matter the era...

like, I have made comments about how there was a major BA decline... but we still look at Ted Williams and his .400 as one of the best seasons of all time...

we might just not appreciate the .350s as much,...

Is Kershaw v Verlander really a thing? Kershaw seems like he is an entire tier or two ahead of Verlander
They both stand out as pretty dang elite, just below the guys already on the list. Kershaw especially but Verlander very close behind IMO...and Verlander can add to his resume he looks great in spring training (I know but it means he looks really good)

That Kershaw lifetime WHIP of 1.01 is bananas

I saw it.. but again.. it was ERA+... I don't think the bucket system is the ideal system for this... have been saying that throughout the whole time...

rankings are more important than buckets... and then when you gave numeric value to it, it just weakened the entire the table... its the old what's the difference between 189 and 190...

but all in all adjusted stats have so many flaws that it just makes no sense to me for it to be the king stat for the analysis...

you have to understand what adjusted stats are...the + stats compare players to the AVERAGE player at that stat... WAR compares players to a specific level of statistics per every stat measured in WAR...

its one thing to have a special season(which you can define however you want)... but the difference between even 170 and 190 is basically nothing...
I think you missed this post, so I'll quote it above. There is no adjusted stat in these summaries.
