the interesting thing will be if Bonds and Clemens make it soon... reason why that will be interesting is because in 2022 AROD will be up for HOF, and if those 2 are in, then AROD kind of has to be back to the first ballot we thought he would be...

Glavine I thought deserved it... Smoltz was a HOF side show... The reason he made it was simply because they have never seen a player Have so many wins and so many saves...

I like Smoltz's career. Wasn't going to be a top 3 pitcher in a league with Johnson/Maddux/Clemens, and later Pedro. But 11 years from 1989-1999 averaging 214 innings and a 3.24 ERA, then 4 years as a top 3 reliever, and then 3 more years at the end with 222 innings a season and a 3.22 ERA. That's 18 really good seasons and that's valuable enough for me to put him in.

I think the voters might see A-Rod differently as he was actually suspended.
