Agreed. His major flaw is he holds the ball way too long. Plus he always forces the big play instead of taking the check down.
I would also add turnovers with the game on the line.

I have 8-9.Right now, If Wentz gets put in, 9-8. Losses from Eagles, 49ers, and Boys. We finish 7th or 8th in the NFC.

I recommend our new regime use the draft experts in house to not land a Davis type LB in round 1 when one can actually be found in later rounds that can have an impact. If they deem round 2 for certain player than I am onboard. What I am not onboard with is multiple early picks that have not panned out or frankly should not have been selected that high according to this staff. (ie; Jamin Davis) Not saying he is a bust, I am saying he definitely should not have been taken where he was in round 1.You don't like what you are seeing on that side of the ball? DVOA metrics which is more accurate than the NFL rating system has the Skins run defense #1 right now.
If you want to upgrade through the draft, are you advocating spending our 1st or 2nd on a LB? A comp 3rd round LB is not going to beat out Davis or Cole in camp.
So which pick the 1st or 2nd do you feel we should spend on a LB?
Sorry, I just see Wentz as part of the problem. Couple that with Turner's inability to be much more creative and help develop some flow to the offense with his play calling which he has been unable to do. The offense has no real identity imo.no doubt but i want to see Wentz again. Im not writing him off yet. not after 6 games. sorry

Taylor has played in half as many games as Wince and has as many wins as Wince. That's also a fact.Wentz has not had the defense that TH has had. That is a fact. Im not saying he was playing great. I just want to see him again
RR is coaching for his tenure here in DC. Unfortunately, you will see Wentz again as soon as he is able. I am on the record as saying I don't want Wentz behind center any longer. I am looking to the future unlike Rivera and what is best for the team moving forward after he is gone, because he will be sooner or later. TH for now and Howell once the season is lost. Just my opinion, nothing more.Very true. Turner has been bad this year. I just don't blame Wentz for the 2-4 record, that's why i want to see him again this year.

What's not a fact is you acting like Wince hasn't had any help whatsoever. The defense did its job against Dallas for instance. The running game was effective against Dallas as well. 27 carries, 142 yrads, 5.3 ypc. The weak link in that gane was Wince.
Against Tenn the defense did alright when you consider the offense didn't convert a single 3rd dn until the last drive of the game. Wince was also in perfect position to win that game. With 1st n goal from Tenn's 3 yd line and throws 2 imc on 1st n 2nd down and an INT on 3rd dn.
If you're talking about Wince I'd opine its his inaccuracy on short n intermediate throws that's his major flaw. His major flaw is he holds the ball way too long. Plus he always forces the big play instead of taking the check down.

How many INTs did the OL throw? Wince threw 2. How many intentional groundings did the OL commit? Wince committed 2. How many times did the OL move right into a sack or near sack from lack of pocket awareness? Wince did it a handful of times. How many off target passes to open WRs did the OL throw? Wince had at least 4.With Turner, TH, has played more in the system. The weak link of the Dallas game was the oline. Sure Wentz didn't play well but he had no time. I agree Wentz made a bad read at the goal line in the Titans game. The defense gave up a huge scoring drive right after we took the lead in the game in the late 4th qtr.
What does that have to do with Davis and Cole?I recommend our new regime use the draft experts in house to not land a Davis type LB in round 1 when one can actually be found in later rounds that can have an impact. I do see improvement on that side of the ball however, we have holes at DT depth, LB, corner and safety on defense. Offensively we are hurting at the OL position mainly. Why so many more holes heading into year 4? All arrows pointing at Rivera.

It wasn't a bad read. It was 3 opportunities to win the game and Wince failing every time. Fucking up so much on the 3rd one he killed the chasnce to win on 4th dn.
So now we are focused on 9 wins a sneaking into the playoffs. You want to hold that 2nd round pick hostage in the hope that we sneak into the playoffs?Thats fine. so you blame Wentz for the 2-4 record. If you still want to see TH out there that is your opinion. I just dont see how we have a better chance to win with TH than Wentz. Its possible we can get to 9 wins and get the last WC spot.
And not getting the ball out quicker. Keep in mind, he would face Dallas in week 17 with Dak.no argument of the titans game. The Dallas game he was just getting hit.

Just like in 2020, I don't see how making the playoffs helps this team long term whatsoever. We are about to get a new owner and more than likely brand new front office leaders. We would get our doors blown off by Philly if we make it past round 1 by a miracle.

Define play well? He will be going up against good teams...one of which embarrassed him. If he wins the Super bowl, sure, keep him. These teams will blitz him without mercy. He has not played good teams well this year. What if Wentz plays well for the rest of the year? He is still gone in your book?
