I agree that we will likely never be a tear it down team. I think we need to solidify:

1b -- I don't believe BB9 will be back, nor is Davis a solution there
2b -- Tyro is fine, Stars is OK as a reserve/DH guy
SS -- Luciano/Craw is probably enough, if the rook develops as expected
3b -- Longo/Schmidt, same as SS
OF -- Judge/Yaz/LWJ is decent, backed up by Slater/Matos maybe...too bad Joc is such an awful fielder
SP -- I'd bring back Rondon; Webb/Rondon/Cobb/Disco/Harrison/Wood/Junis/Hjelle is deep and good.
RP -- total shitshow outside of Doval, Brebbia and Garcia. Need guys like TRog to bounce back and/or new arms that aren't terrible.
Bench -- Winns/Davis/Flores/Slater/Matos....maybe.

So, re-sign Rodon, bring in Judge and Josh Bell, and fix the phuking bullpen. Boom, 2023 WS Champs.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
Not a chance Judge leaves New York. The Giants talk is to drive up the price.

And Rodon too, come on man. He gone.

You are like my sister with her freaking phone. We start talking about something and start throwing out crazy theories about what something is, or why it is what it is. She pops onto her phone and gets the actual answer. Discussion over.

We aren’t talking about whatever because the actual answer is important. We are talking about it because the talking about it is fun. She kills soooo many fun discussions with her god forsaken google-phone.

I disagree. I think Judge is LIKELY to come here, FWIW.

And I see no reason why we wouldn't outbid everyone for Rodon.
Why do you think either of those?

Things I've read over the season about Judge's dissatisfaction in NY and him being a Giant fan.
Like all hitters why would he leave a bandbox and a contender to play in a pitchers park for a middling team?
We have a window to negotiate with Rodon when nobody else can and I think he fits what FZ wants, unlike Gausman.
It's not about what FZ wants. Rodon's dissatisfaction with the Giants is far more evident than Judge's with NY. And I quite doubt FZ wants to match the 5/150 offers Rodon will be getting

Just my 2 cents ... we all know that money is really not going to be a key with either of these two. They will get what they ask for and there will be plenty of teams willing to pay. IMHO it will all come down to .... the team they select will have to be a playofg contender (in thier point of view).i just dont see them signing on with something less.
Judge and Rodon would probably make us contenders with just a another few tweaks along the way. But i dont think just one of the two is enough. We need both an elite hitter and pitcher.

Of course ... there is this one pitcher .....

I just hope FZ presents that point of view. I don't believe that money alone an buy a championship but it can sure help to buold a contender.

Why do you NOT mr buzzkill...

:P
I think Judge is more likely that Rodon. Rodon has expressed frustration with this team and, being part of 2022, it is going to be take a lot more to convince him that they will be contenders in 2023 than it would take to convince Judge (and Rodon doesn't have the personal investment of them being his favorite childhood team).

Flores signed a 2 year extension. Money is unknown at this point.
