I am perhaps ignorant or not following you. But I am thinking why was Trammell pinch hit in the first place by Moore? I surely don’t follow the team as closely as I do the Rangers. Maybe you agreed how they were managed today.

So my original post was to see how this board feels about how the club is being GMd and managed.
No mystery there. Moore is a lefty. Trammel is hitting .125 versus lefties. It was the right move even if it didn't work out. Servais leaves plenty of room for criticism, but this wasn't one of them.

What do you guys think of the idea of trading for Willson Contreras? I know he's a free agent after the season so I wouldn't make the move unless the team plans on re-signing him, but I floated the idea during the offseason and feel like our season would look a lot different if we had his offensive output at catcher.
I think it is a solid idea, in theory. It would probably cost us Luis Torrens and maybe a guy like Evan White or Justus Sheffield. The risk would be that he would join the club with no working relationship with our pitchers. So, they would need to get him sooner rather than wait until the deadline.

But there will be many suitors for Contreras and I doubt Dipoto will be willing to overbid everyone, especially considering this move be considered a 'buyers' move and right now we look more like 'sellers'.

Even a crazier stat. I don’t understand how that is possible and get paid to do it. 1 wild pitch per ten pitches is nuts but damn beaning a dude once every two innings is crazy.
that is crazy...

if they get rivas..they would not need diaz..and have depth..at ..1B/3B..including toro

hancocks value..still...low..and mariners could still use a comp pick..

France just got hit by a pitch, you can CLEARLY see him pulling his arm toward his body: the rangers announcers swear he moved his arm to get hit on purpose and the umpire should shouldn't have given him a hit by pitch.

Of course they are perfectly fine with Julio Rodriguez getting called out on a pitch up and out of the strike zone immediately after. The guy is still bitching about france.
