QB Coach Jedd Fisch interviewed Monday for the Head Coaching position at University of Arizona.

Bill better start getting his pond filled and put out some corn. The ducks could all fly away after the past two years.

This part of article about the worst five teams and what they need to do in 2021. Nothing that everyone in here hasn't previously expressed.

For the first time since 2008, the New England Patriots missed the postseason. That gives head coach and general manager Bill Belichick the rare challenge of revamping his roster to try to make his team a Super Bowl contender.
The 6-8 Patriots were in a tough financial situation this year, with Belichick even admitting the team had sold out to win Super Bowls before Tom Brady's departure last offseason. They picked up Cam Newton on a one-year, incentive-laden deal to start under center in 2020, but the 2015 MVP hasn't played well enough to make up for the team's weaknesses.

Wide receiver will be a major point of emphasis this offseason. Jakobi Meyers leads the team with just 616 receiving yards, while N'Keal Harry is the only wide receiver with more than one touchdown. Finding an established No. 1 wideout in free agency will be a priority, and the Patriots should be able to afford one with almost $70 million in projected cap space. A number of quality free agents will be available this offseason, including Allen Robinson II, A.J. Green and T.Y. Hilton.

Finding a long-term answer at quarterback is the No. 1 need, though. They rank 30th in the NFL with just 185.4 passing yards per game, and it's unlikely that the Patriots will want to bring Newton back for a second season after his struggles moving the ball through the air.
Free agency is a possibility, but the draft is a more realistic place for the Patriots to find a long-term answer at quarterback. The Patriots would have the 15th overall pick if the season ended today, however, so they would likely need to trade up if they wanted to draft a prospect like Trey Lance or Zach Wilson.

The good news is that the Patriots are in good shape outside of the passing game. Belichick found a sixth-round steal in Michael Onwenu to strengthen the offensive line in this year's draft, while the defense has stayed strong and only allowed 21.5 points per game.
Belichick helped turn New England into a dynasty thanks to a strong passing game with Brady. If he can find another quarterback and some weapons for him to throw to, that should help New England get back into the postseason next year.

My wife is a huge Brady fan and she made a painful point. The patriots get to clean out their lockers after the game next Sunday and Brady will be getting ready to play in the post season. Then she made an even more painful point......"What are you the guys on the Hoop going to talk about between then and the second week in February since the Patriots won't be playing?" She wasn't being mean, she was asking a simple question because we've always had a play game or had to wait to wait two weeks because the Patriots had a bye week. I wasn't very nice and said, "We'll discuss what could have been."

I'm sure the Boston media will have plenty to for us to talk about.

I don't know about you you ungrateful little bitch, but I'll be talking about all the ways we can improve!
What little bit we can do is getting stale.
Year after SB 36 we sucked. BB said he let (the o-line) get old and "he'd never do that again. There are different lessons this time.....
We'll be talking about those lessons ad infinitum.....

So you think they sucked the year they finished above .500 and lost both the division title and a wildcard playoff spot by tie breakers?

I think we'll be doin; a lot of wishin' and hopin'.

Maybe @nefansince75 will get back on his meds or at least try to get a script refilled.

I was looking at a list of free agent TE in 2021 and there are few that I'd like to see here. I think teams will really try to sign their own guys. Hopefully BB will at least make a decent offer to Hunter Henry. Most the names that we know are all over 30. One guy we know is Jacob Hollister who's 26 and will be a FA. Don't know if BB would go after him after trading him.

I think I will try to convince fans not to draft Trask. Fuck the kicker I really don't care to much about that we have other, greater needs.

Of course you won't be talking about how to replace "our all world kicker", and I really don't think charlie will be talking about sex with cats and dogs. The post was a satire to the thought we'd ever have nothing to talk about...

After watching the Raiders lose last night because the kicker missed and extra points and Gruden had his RB slide at the 1 instead of scoring a TD against the Dolphins, knowing how critical the kicking game has become, I want a Butker or Ghost or Vintieri on the Patriots.

2021 free agents include Succup, Prater, Carlos, Ghost, Gonzalea, Hopkins and Rosas. Could get any of them for $4M and they'd be worth the money.

BB is not going to get Robinson, Green or TY. He simply will not do that. It's not in his DNA.. He will draft a 8th round division 3 WR with knee problems and say "let's see what he can do".

BB will probably not even draft offense and will just go defense

Our best WR is an UDFA. Why draft receivers if you can't pick them?

That's why I said BB would draft a defender or a 3rd rounder WR from a Division 3 college with injury problems

If the Pats don't draft a WR that actually can play then 2021 will be just as bad

He traded for Moss after he signed Stallworth, he signed AB, traded for Sanu...and others.

Not out of the question.

Sanu was a bust... AB a bust because he couldn't contain himself. Yes Moss was amazing... Stallworth was good but recently not good.. He isn't going to trade for those players listed about in the other post...

Any of you watch any games this weekend?

Seems like every game had a former NE Patriot WR or TE making a great catch, converting a long third down or catching a TD.

I'll start with one that BB gave a 7th round pick and then waived him.............Isaiah Ford, Miami. made three great catches and two iof them were third down conversions.

Brandin Cooks. Texans suck but he was bustin' his ass and making catches.

Old friend Danny Amendola still making tough catches and getting a few yards after the catch with Lions.

Braxton Berrios, Jets, playing like it's the Super Bowl for the Jets, who beat the Browns.

Rob Gronkowski . Need I say more? BB gave him away.

Jacob Hollister catching balls everywhere, especially a TD that sealed the Division Championship for the Seahawks.

The Patriots have given away better wide receivers and tight ends than they've kept.
