I think TW is playing this beautifully.
He's volatile, and ppl know Washington's back is against the walls.
Id offer a 4th-5th and wait for them to cut him.

Williams desire for $20 mil per is probably doing as much damage to his trade value as his health his.

IDK what a pro bowl caliber 30 y/o LT with an injury history is worth? Unless they are getting at least a 3rd rounder now...'Skins would probably be best served to sit tight and wait until his health can be confirmed.

You would think a 3rd be enough now especially with Trent's large demands but like you said...not sure what they can do at this point. Could be waiting till the NFL Draft.

I'm not sure why some Skins' fans think they still have leverage...they have been losing more and more leverage everyday. His agent wants something to happen soon or this could get ugly. The Browns have 2 3rds...I would offer a 3rd and if I was WAS I would take it...but this is the same team that declined a 2nd last year for him and recently traded Dunbar for a 5th.

Maybe...WAS saw him sit out the entire season LY, why should they be anxious to move him now?

Different positions, but PIT got a 2nd for Brown...and some people thought PIT got shafted, but many of us thought 2nd rd was good.

LT was not nearly that toxic in WAS...4th or 5th for a starting LT is flatout stealing :D.

Yeah but I think his value drops with his contract demands...it sucks for WAS but like you said Trent is playing this beautifully. You think he would accept a $16-17M a year deal as long as it is a long-term deal but like I said I have no clue at this point.

Seems like the Redskins approach is to cut their nose off to spite their face. They should of moved Williams last off season to get max value for Williams.
Williams value has only one direction to go IMO and that's down. As for Williams, same goes for him. He's going to get less and less as time goes on. Time for both parties to become flexible on what they demand, otherwise they'll both end up with a bag of popcorn in return.

I dunno I look at pittsburgh, they would get rid of that headache. They dont want that culture....yes bell sat, and there was som drama, but he kept quite after a while...and brown was off-season...that was not carrying into the year. The TW thing has been forever, new regime, supposed new ways etc, but let this linger.....

Yes, should’ve traded him last year (thanks Bruce Allen) but there’s no since in trading him for anything less than a 3rd+ Because they should get a 3rd comp pick for him. Nobody is going to want to make his lying ass the highest paid tackle. This story is well known, it was always about the money and nothing else. Probably would’ve ended better if he’d just been honest about it being the money

Why would they cut him? When he lowers his price he’ll be moved.

Yeah, but PIT dealt with a lot of stuff with Brown while the season was going on, some just never hit the media. Remember...PIT had a 1st round pick secured from BUF before OAK.

The real issue in both cases...a top tier player...in spite of the headache he's worth more than a 4th/5th if healthy.

Comp pick is not in play yet. They would only get a comp pick if he signed with another team as a FA in 2021...comp would be 2022 draft.

I still wouldn't take less than a 3rd.

I dunno I agree and disagree...your trying to rebuild everything from the team to culture at this point. Move on. Washington has been such a joke, this just keeps reinforcing it.

I'm still trying to figure out why they got rid of their DB for a 5th rd. pick LOL

I'm with you on the culture piece, and I'm okay with moving on, but at what price? Cut him? Gosh no. He's a pro bowl caliber LT that now wants to play again, they can get a 3rd.

They hope, initially it was a first, then a second, now were at a 3rd.........i would think so........but it just keeps dragging....and the price keeps dropping.......

Yeah. They have no need to cut him. I guess TW can retire if he really doesnt like it. (like Sanders did)
I would tell that agent to pound sand. he isnt getting cut & he isnt getting 20 mil per.
