After Robert, Walker was the second best OF prospect. We did trade for this Mazara guy...Word is for a minor leaguer named Steele Walker.
Never heard of him. I guess we'll see.

Welcome to the White Sox young man!
sounds like exactly the kind of player kenny likes.
disgusting.
KenHahn have liked this guy for a while now. Just not getting what they see.sounds like exactly the kind of player kenny likes.
Potential, that's what they see. Plus a cheap contract with years left, that's what Reindorf sees. And they have yet to address their single biggest need, SP.KenHahn have liked this guy for a while now. Just not getting what they see.

Would love to disagree with this, but based on that trade, it's hard to do so.Endless rebuild.
imo they've failed to address ANY real need yet.Potential, that's what they see. Plus a cheap contract with years left, that's what Reindorf sees. And they have yet to address their single biggest need, SP.

If they fail to sign a higher end veteran pitcher, and I'm with you on acquiring both starting and relief pitching, then this offseason will constitute as a failure. There were and still are enough pieces out there to add to our talented but inexperienced roster, which blended together could make a run at the playoffs this year. But if the brass is already calling this the offseason, then no chance to play in October. The Sox brass can’t seriously think that Lopez, Kopech, Cease and Rodon will be able to hold down the rotation with Giolito. There are some good pieces there with potential, but not a playoff quality rotation. The bullpen also needs stabilizing.
The strategy employed to date this winter has been perplexing at best.
I'd be happy with landing him, but can the Sox do a deal with Scott Boras? I'd hate to have to hang my hat on it. But we can hope, that's for sure.Keuchel is going to happen.

Not arguing that, just merely pointing out that we have a horrible history with signing Boras clients. I'd love to see the trend broken with a Keuchel signing. How many weren't Boras clients at the top of the pitching heap? I mean...If we went in saying we wanted 2 pitchers, then one of them was inevitable.
