I can see him getting 2020, but outside of last year, the bears have been pretty terrible in his tenure. He took over a huge mess, so he gets some credit, but 2 years ago sportingnews rated him the worst GM

I believe as of now the bears are over the cap facing 2020, he went all in with the mack trade and trubisky pick. He's already on his second HC hire.

Whether or not he deserves it Pace is getting the Lovie treatment by Chicago brass. They love him so he’s staying and thus so is Nagy. If they sh*t the bed in 2020 though, they’re both done together. Our cap should be alright after next season since we won’t be paying Trubisky.

I agree they're safe this year, 2020 goes like this, Pace will have one winning record and 0 playoff wins in 6 seasons

(I'm assuming bears don't finish 6-2 or better down stretch, which I think is a fair assumption)

I just saw a list last of free agents for next year. The class coming in from college is good, but u can’t bank on it. Be interesting to see where they go.

Chase Daniel is gone and Trubisky will take his place as backup because he is on the books for 9.2 million guaranteed with $0 cap relief if we cut him...so it is likely Bears will both sign a QB and possibly draft a QB to groom unless Nagy is still insistent on running 2 QB's so he can have as many options as possible to throw in gadget plays.

It's already a lost cause. It's been a lost cause. The kid should get "lost cause" tattoo'd on his ass and sell it for 15 bucks a pop. Because that's looking like a more promising career path at the moment.

Hell, the Eagles secondary is a joke and we had negative offensive yardage until the final two minutes of the first half.

I'll go a step further and say... even if he puts his first good game together of the season? Yeah, he's still a lost cause.
