It was a close game until the 4th quarter. By that time, it would appear Jackson's leg worn out this defense. We basically saw a Seahawks game today played by Baltimore.

Got outcoached and outplayed.

Yeah the Hawks defense is bad, they need help but really it's hard to defend a guy who runs like a RB and has the speed of a top flight WR. The Ravens are built for grinding out wins on the road. Seattle is just lacking play makers on the defense. Just a couple big stops on Defense and the game is different. the 4th and 2 and the 3rd and long that Jackson Converted on their last scoring drive.

Wilsons pick six really REALLY hurt also because they were going to get points there.

Yep, and I'm done here. Terrible game, I don't think we've EVER lost this bad at home with Wilson. Hopefully this prompts some major changes. Granted two defensive TDs... so the score doesn't really say it all, but still.

Rams vs. Seahawks - Game Summary - December 17, 2017 - ESPN

That one was way worse.

From what I watched I didn't think either side of the ball was particularly great for the Hawks.

Wilson had one of his mediocre games that he seems to have a couple games a season but I didn't care for the offensive game plan either. No reason to have Wilson throw that many times in those conditions and not have run the ball more. It was effective enough that there was no reason to not pound the ball some more and break down the defense. Especially when the offensive line was struggling to pass protect.

Defensively it just seemed like they had no plan on what to do with Lamar and his ability to run the ball. Lamar much like Wilson is too talented to completely shut down from running the ball but you shouldn't be letting him run over 100 yards against you. You can't also let the Ravens have a 15 minute time of possession with 2 drives towards the end of the game. Someone has to step up and make a play to get the ball back to your offense.

What's really strange to me is the Seahawks have gone from being nearly unbeatable at home to playing better on the road than at home. I mean they are extremely close to losing every home game this season.

Whole team played bad. Exactly like the Saints game. Offense couldn't do anything, Wilson played the worst game at home... ever? To a Baltimore pass rush that's not very good and relies on blitzing 7-8 to get there (yet our coaches couldn't come up with something for it? Didn't try a screen the entire game). Special teams was uninspiring and Myers of course misses a 52 yarder that's not even close. He's certainly not living up to the contract we spent on him.

Our defense I'd probably say up until the end and losing accountability of Jackson was probably the only thing I could give a slight positive to. Take away the two defensive TDs, and Seattle probably wins the game (since maybe one of those turnover drives would've generated something). And Balti wasn't turning the football over..

The hell they did. 14 of the points scored by the Ravens was from offensive turn overs.
Bad time for Wilson to throw an INT, bad time for Metcalf to drop the ball. The offense deserves 70% of the blame today...

Absolutely... They weren't very good... The defense didn't play that bad, imo... In terms of overall yardage, Lamar had his 2nd worst game of the season... He had his worst game of the season passing...

Unfortunately, we saw what a game can look like if RW isn't carrying us...

Seattle really fucked themselves with turnovers here. That's about the long and short of it. Two losses at home when the opposing team scores multiple times on D/ST is unacceptable.

That wasn't even a fun game to watch in the second half either. Hawks D vs Ravens O was like watching college ball. Some "one read and then run" QB taking advantage of a D that looks lost. It was a clown show. Just gross. You can't let that happen.

The offense giving up points is a recurring theme th.is year.

That said, this team isnt very good, relies too much on wilson to be elite.

Well the Seahawks are a work in progress. When Pete first arrived he did a complete strip down and started from scratch dumping anyone making money, collecting picks and cap space. Like the Browns have done and now the Dolphins.
Can't do that now or won't. Pete is too old to want to do that again and we got Wilson and aren't about to dump him. So a rebuild is more complicated. Less money and fewer picks and the picks aren't high picks at the beginning of rounds.
Think the rebuild is coming around, but has some too go. Patience is going to be needed. At the very least Seahawks are as good or better then 2/3 of the league as is. I know it's tough in a society that wants instant gratification, but lets try to enjoy the process.

that defense needs a rebuild and i wouldn't mind seeing them use all their picks in the 1st 2nd (2), 3rd (2) and 4th (2?) on defense in the next draft. The unit needs a rebuild and get back to the Pete Carroll style D and not this 50%+ base 4-3 they have been playing. Today they needed someone fast enough to track down Jackson and that is not Kendrick, Bobby or KJ. Kam would have been a game changer in this one. Also can we find a way to get more pressure. GAH!

Side note Blair looked good at SS but i would have rather seen him at FS than Thompson.

The Defense looked slow out their up front. The back end for the most part played well today.

There was a time Bobby could of got it done. I remember him stopping Cam when Cam was a version of Lamar.

Punked, Baltimore did whatever they wanted in the second half, long drives, punched us right in the mouth...

My biggest concern is our defense, I’m not worried about our O, they’ll be fine, but on defense I don’t understand how sometimes we don’t account for a receiver at all, example, the play when BALTIMORE had the ball deep in their own territory, we left the TE wide open for an easy 1st down, I think it was a 2nd and 15, luckily for us he dropped it, but it was another example of a blown coverage, my question is why does this keep happening ? What defense leaves a TE totally uncovered ?

A 4-3 base defense on a team not built to run a 4-3 base all the time. Sure it's nice to have Kendricks, KJ and Wags on the field together but KJ and Kendricks can't run with these TE's half the time.

Only positive is this was an out of conference loss. Defense needs to get their shit together, better play calling and get ready next week for Atlanta.

We have plenty of DL talent that does not seem to be playing up to it. Maybe when the year is done we drop norton and bring quinn back.

our offense needs work too though, too many negative plays, too many plays where our run game is completely stuffed. Someone said draft all D, i am ok with that as long as we can get one top tier OL.
