He's better than a lot of the backup QB's in the League and I' say 7-8 of the starting QB's.

Name the 7-8 starting quarterbacks that he’s better than.

See I actually think this is the point where an NFL team signing Kaep would make sense. 1 year deal while you're completely fucked at QB? Why not?

Problem is Kaep ain't singing a 1 year deal for what the Steelers would be willing to pay.

Name them. Which 7 starting NFL QBs is he better than? Not guys currently starting, but guys that are actual NFL starters when not hurt.

I hear this all the time and it's just not true. You can make an argument that he was maybe as good as 2 or so when he last played. But he hasn't played in what? Two years?

I'm just not getting why he won't go showcase himself in another league if he just wants to play. It does seem more and more necessary the longer he's removed from the game, doesn't it?

That is what I said long ago. The CFL wants him. Why not go and play in Canada a couple years and then try and come back like others have.

Kaep didn't disrespect America. His original protest was an attempt to bring awareness about trigger-happy cops killing innocent people. But I think he went about it the wrong way.

It started out as kneeling but his girlfriend tweeted out a picture of the Balitmore owner and Ray Lewis as a slave owner and slave. Why would any team want to deal with that?

Didn’t Kaepernick opt out of the final year of his contract with the 49ers?

Lynch confirmed that management was going to cut Kaep if he did not opt out of his contract. Opting out allowed him to test the free agent market early. Shanahan has no interest in running QBs.

I've since been told the Rooneys hate blacks more than losing because they haven't given him a tryout.

Yes, the same Rooneys who made the Rooney Rule, stuck with a black HC longer than they probably should've and signed Mike Vick.

His girlfriend has been a complete hindrance. He probably would've ended up in Baltimore until she did that.

Colin Kaepernick explains why he sat during national anthem

His reason for sitting...his own words!

"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game.

How is this not interpreted as NOT disrespecting the flag?

How many people think of the Police when they hear The Star Spangled Banner or see an American Flag? Stupid analogy on his part relating the two. Furthermore he didn't care if it pissed off people. OK it pissed a lot of people off, now reap what you have sown. Even Free speech has consequences.
Perfect post.

There are worse back up QB's in the league right now than Kaepernick. Here are some examples.

-Brian Hoyer (Pats): rating under 84 & completion % under 60
-Matt Moore (Chiefs): rating under 82 & completion % under 60
-Trevor Sieman (Jets): rating under 80 & completion % under 60
-Chase Daniels (Bears): in the league since 2010, only started 5 games
-Josh McCown (Eagles): 23-53 record as a starter

How many of them took a knee to protest something that's not really an issue even though they themselves were fined for calling another player a n****r during a game?

You would think if he had any talent someone would have signed him. This is the same league that gave Eric Reid another gig. Greg Hardy got a second chance,

So either Cap and his constant social activism is hampering him....which I doubt because Team Owners only care about winning or he the more likely alternative...he just doesn't have the talent.

But at least the NFL is asking China for permission.

Exactly...they don't want or need the distraction.

I don't blame owners for not wanting to bring a distraction in the locker room....they want football players, if you want to be a civil rights activists...go be one...you just can't be both, but not on my dime.

Name the 7-8 starting quarterbacks that he’s better than.

Colt McCoy
Mason Rudolph
Luke Falk (but he's going back to backup this week)
Chase Daniel
Kyle Allen (although he has surprised this year)
He's on par with Mayfield, Brissett and Mariota (or was before he was banished, who knows now).

....but they have no problem with guys who beat their girlfriends/wives/kids (at least as long as they're still producing, anyway).

Actually I think the owners do care about the social activism stuff...especially for the QB...no one really cares or pays much attention to Reid, but if Kap was on a team, there were be reporter questions not just to him, but to other players every week about stuff not related to football.

I agree with you here...he's a marginal talent at best. Just not enough substance out weigh the distraction or potential of one.

Lot of truth there, but IDK...Ray Rice may have something different to say about that.

I do think if Kap were throwing for 5000 yds and 30 TDs...he'd be playing...yes.

I think they care...to an extent. If Tom Brady kneeled he gets a gig the second New England cuts him.

Antonio Brown will play again somewhere because he has talent.

But if you are a backup level guy you are judged by a different set of standards.
