Physical shape and Football shape aren't the same. Besides he Carrie's TOO much baggage with him.

There was a player recently who kneeled and he faced no backlash....

I agree, the XFL would be perfect for him.....IMO.
For awhile I was partial to the idea that his goal all along may not have been to get back into the NFL for awhile because it makes him more of a visible figure.

That's also not necessarily a slight, either, because the message he is trying to convey is a lot more up-front when he's not getting a job vs. if he were just sitting on a bench somewhere.

I never cared about the political views of sports stars. However, when Kaep protested, I supported his right to do so. When he went to Nike for that stupid ad campaign I saw it for what it was. He sold out his political views for a company with an egregious track record of human rights violations in foreign countries. He sold out his political views for a company that markets over price apparel to poor inner city children. I thought this was just him being a lousy individual, but now the NBA as a whole is selling out in defense of China’s egregious human rights violations. All because of a little money. These athletes are no better than the capatilists they compete with for a share of the revenue. Pathetic, greedy assholes. Why not stand for something real, you pathetic little bitches?

He has a career rating under 89. Career completion % under 60. He's not as good as people want to remember.
The guy is toast.

There are worse back up QB's in the league right now than Kaepernick. Here are some examples.

-Brian Hoyer (Pats): rating under 84 & completion % under 60
-Matt Moore (Chiefs): rating under 82 & completion % under 60
-Trevor Sieman (Jets): rating under 80 & completion % under 60
-Chase Daniels (Bears): in the league since 2010, only started 5 games
-Josh McCown (Eagles): 23-53 record as a starter

The media circus will follow Keap, if you can't see that it a you problem. If Keapernick was the QB to make a team a true contender over what they have he'll be in uniform baggage and all, but to just be a middle of the road 8-8 team no team wants or needs that baggage. You need to look at this from all sides, not just through a personal belief.

If the Steelers had a better record when Ben got hurt, I think they would have gave very serious attention to Keap, but looking at the team at the time I doubt Keap was going to be the guy to keep the team afloat.

I think he just wants to play.....I doubt he's asking for any crazy amount of $ and from what I have read......he's not siting on the couch eating a lot.....he's kept himself in good physical shape.

Maybe he's come down as you say...I know BAL kicked the tires on Kap before signing RG3...his GF or wife had words to say about that iirc.

If he had put it out there he was willing to be a backup (and paid like one) some time ago, I think he would have a job by now. Whether it's perceived or real, teams feel like there is some baggage with Kap and his talent not good enough for the potential distraction.

After letting 2 players who were tops in their fields go because of the distractions they caused, why in God's name would the Steelers overpay for a washed up mediocre QB who would bring the media circus back to the locker room. I really don't think his kneeling shit would be welcomed in Pittsburgh.

If it came down to it , Paxton Lynch; a former first round pick is on the roster, give him a shot...

Colin Kaepernick sets a high price — at least $20 million — on his return to football

If he asked for $20M+ in February why would that have changed...even if he only wants $10M, he isn't worth it. If he would just ask for a couple mil then I would think a NFL would give him a shot possibly. This guy is a self-entitled fucking prick and the NFL doesn't need his clown show act on the sidelines either.

Kaep didn't disrespect America. His original protest was an attempt to bring awareness about trigger-happy cops killing innocent people. But I think he went about it the wrong way.

His reasons for his action are irrelevant. His actions are the concern.

So yes, he did disrespect America with his unpatriotic actions. He is as ignorant as they come.

Most people also forget that the roster on the 49ers team that year was legit good. CK wasn't the reason they went to the SB.

:blah::blah::blah:

Shouldn't you be in a different thread bitching about Ohio State's OOC schedule while ignoring the fact your Gators played 2 FCS cupcakes this year?

And it's funny you choose to ignore the real reason for his protest & created you own fake reality. Now that's ignorant.
